For a 12 hour flight with seats that don't recline and nothing the on-board staff could do about the ticket counter's negligence and bad faith other than apologize. Seated upright for an overnight flight (for the second time on the same trip) for 12 hours. Not a pleasant experience. Had a feeling ANA would be bush league. This trip confirmed those suspicions. It wasn't the crew's fault (though they, unfortunately bore the brunt of my displeasure) so much as the counter's fault, but airlines charging what they are shouldn't be putting passengers or crew in this position. The ticket counter folks literally mislead us. They specifically told us that these were not emergency row seats and that we would have reclining seats and seatback displays in front of us like everyone else. The entire reason I asked is because we got stuck in the last row on the way in with seats that don't recline, which blows for a 12 hour red-eye flight. Instead we got seats that did not recline and a fold out screen that came from the right-hand arm rest. Not the end of the world if one had no choice, but certainly not what I paid for and certainly not what the ticketing counter people stated we were getting (under specific inquiry about the very point). The ticketing counter in particular seems to be skeevy, at best. To the detriment of their own crew, who is left apologizing for things they can do nothing about. As stated, this is a bush league international carrier. Avoid unless you love sleepless nights crossing the international dateline..."

First of all he takes off his shoes and then his socks and crosses his legs so his barefoot is right next to my tray table. Then he proceeds to unbutton his pants and unbuckle his belt. This passenger continually kept encroaching into my seat, either sitting on a portion of my leg or putting his shoulder over my shoulder, even at one point used me as lean on. It was a 9 hour flight of misery... I was definitely uncomfortable for majority of that flight due to the passenger in 40A on flight NH176"

I had to sit over the aisle from my children as it was a 2 2 seating but the staff didnt seem to pursue where their mother was even though i was 1 row back. They didn't need me but i thought they should have at least enquired as to where the parent was of 2 11 yr olds. They were also curt trying to rush us off the flight as my daughter was trying to locate a lost item as we arrived. She has limited sight and we need time to get off and to find things.... given she has lost an iPad, and very expensive reading glasses and other things on the trips that span 24 - 36 hrs."
Khuyết điểm: "First, I did an online check-in and was able to secure a seat for the first leg of the flight, but was able to get any information on my second leg. So when I arrived at the Thai Airways counter to load in my bags I asked the Thai Airways representative about the missing information. His response was that he could not get into the ANA system and that I have to go to the ANA counter to ask for that information. Given that my layover in Narita was only about 45mins landing to going to the gate, I was not comfortable with not knowing if I would be on that flight or not. The Thai Airways representation at the boarding counter did help me a bit and got in touch with a guide in Narita to help me get my luggages and get to gate properly. I wanted to note that we did not arrive in Narita on time due to the high air traffic so the plane had to circle around for 15 mins. When we finally landed I had about 15 mins to get through the custom and ran to my gate. When I received my ticket I was shocked that I got a middle seat on a 13 hours flight! If I have known this earlier I would have paid for a better seat, but since I was not able to check-in online and didn't receive any info about this flight prior to boarding I was not allowed to change on this full flight. In addition, the plane ride was awful. The food was disgusting and the seat was very uncomfortable. The seat did not even recline back! I don't expect much from a short distance flight but for a 13 hour long flight, I at least expect the seat to be slightly better than sitting on a rock against a brick wall. All in all, this was a HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE I went through. The stress and the discomfort on the plane was an experience that no one should ever feel while traveling. It was an awful nightmare on an ANA flight. I would like a refund on this flight with no exceptions. Sincerely, Jessica Saesue"

The turbulence announcement was made once in english and japanese by the auto-plane service followed by the crew announcing it again in both English and Japanese. The same was done with the duty free. The plane pressure also felt very strong and cause discomfort for the wife. The movie selection was solid (but badly organized) and the TV show selection wasn't terrible. It should all be better. Come on ANA! Contact me for recommendations."

Even worse: chaotic deplaning with one crew member telling passengers to deplane and another yelling at them in the bridge for doing so. A mess of lines trying to get a new boarding pass for a rebooked missed connection—at the front of the line the agent said oh, you need to wait in this other line. Agents had no clue where to direct passengers and gave incorrect directions that necessitated more waiting. No updates to new flight time in the business class lounge. Once the flight was in the air, service was terrible. Attendants would ask for orders, then never bring them or bring the wrong thing."

So, we escaped to the back for a while where we were "hushed" by a stewardess. This is not the airline's fault but I had a crazy lady next to me who was very disoriented, who could not speak English and needed assistance. No one would deal with her! She had a little pouch with her name on it -- like a UM -- so someone knew something was not right when they put her on the flight. I bought drinks inside the terminal for this 14 hour flight but they were all confiscated at the additional security at the gate!! WTF"

Ưu: "All the Air Team Crew were really friendly. On the first connection to from Nairobi to Dubai, I sat next to a fellow passenger who was nervous about the moderate turbulance that we hit. At the end of the flight, as we waited to disembark, a lovely Attendant stood next to us and we had the most warm friendly conversation I've ever had in all my years of flying. She made us feel like friends as she gave us an insight into her 'high flying' lifestyle while being professional. Unfortunately I can't remember her name as I would have loved to give her a special mention but she was so lovely."

Khuyết điểm: "When I was boarding on my 14 hour flight from Dubai to the US, I was briefly informed by the Emirates boarding staff that my seat had been changed. I had specifically chosen my aisle seat because I like to stand often on long flights, so I was concerned that it had been changed. When I tried to get more information from the staff member, he dismissively said "Ma'am, this is a good seat" and handed me my ticket without even making eye contact. There was no apology or courtesy of any kind. I ended up with a window seat and I had to crawl over two other people throughout the 14 hour flight to use the restroom or stretch my legs. I expected more courtesy from the staff for this kind of inconvenience and will rethink my flight plans in the future to avoid Dubai."
Ưu: "I was pleasantly surprised how great our travel with Emirates was. We usually fly in business class when traveling to Europe, but this time we were pleasantly surprise that the economy on our flight was as good as business on most American airlines. We are looking forward to another flight with Emirates!"

Only found out that the flight may be cancelled from an email from kayak. Eventually got on a flight 6 and a half hours later. When leaving the board still said ek5101 delayed. I am sure if left up to Emirates / Qantas we would still be sitting at Dubai looking at the board."

Ưu: "Turkish Airlines is my favorite airline going to Europe. We even did the 20 hr layover in Istanbul and had a great time staying for a couple of nights going and coming back. Staff is always friendly and the food is amazing. The food in coach is as good as first class on some US domestic flights"

TA gives free drinks, a couple of meals, blankets, and the travel bag, only a snobby priss would gripe about flying with them. I've flown enough budget airlines that give you NOTHING that I love flying TA!"

Boarding started and when the agent nearest to us didn't get a passenger quickly he started to take Group D! I did not appreciate that. This continued throughout boarding. Also, as to be expected!, as newer people joined the the lines they went to the line moving - not their Group line. So we stood behind the rope on C while everyone else was boarding. I finally jumped to the moving line. I was tired of waiting. The kosher meals were warm, but not hot. There is no reason for this. I have been flying International for over 20 years and I know what is possible. The seats - for a 10 hour flight - were uncomfortable. Either I need more padding on my rear end or you need better seats."

Although the menu said cheese sandwiches were available at any time, we were told there weren't any when we asked for one. The guest next to me would push the attendant button and the staff would walk by several times without even making eye contact with her."
Khuyết điểm: "One of our suitcases was lost. Well, fine, it happened. From Kyiv we went to Georgia for a week. In one or two days we received a text to come get it in the Batumi airport. We came there - nothing. Then next text - come get it in two days. When it finally arrived - it was torn. I don't know who to blame in the first wrong text, I don't know why and how the suitcase was lost, I don't know who torn it, but in general it was all very wrong and inefficient."

What I got was SAW after I paid for a booking that said IST. Sabina Gokcen is one hour away further on the Asian side of Turkey. I did not want this airport! There was nothing I could do about this but bite the bullet & accept what I got since I was not allowed to have any corrections made after paying for this ticket. I am highly disappointed with Kayak. The first time you have disappointed me greatly!"
