Everything was excellent. Nice legroom, wonderful food for Asian Vegetarian. For entertainment, I wish there was some South Indian options. Another minor thing for the connection flight from Bangkok to Ko Samai, my meal preference didn’t carry over and they provided only non-vegetarian food which I could not eat because I am a vegetarian.

Food is probably the best I’ve had in the sky I like that they serve it in the morning instead at late night, lots of drinks to chose from. but the promised Haagen Dazs ice cream never came. Seat was very wide as it is 2-4-2 compared to 3-3-3 for all other Airlines’ 787, the IFE box makes the under seat storage slightly lacking. Touchless flush is a plus.

Clean, friendly staff, and delicious food

Very nice crew.

Lots of space to spread out (which was not their doing) and big seats with big screens and plenty of legroom.

Especially, when it comes to unexpected occurrences regarding test certificates and sudden new regulations. Not everything is always black and white and not everyone has the same capacity to afford rebooking flights or re-testing. Treatment of foreigners in general at the LAX airport, on my flight at least, were unprofessional and inconsiderate. I generally like flying with Japan Airlines but after what I have seen and experienced personally I’m not so sure it is still one of my number one airlines to fly with anymore."

It took them two months - TWO MONTHS - to email me back, to tell me there was nothing they could do. I also had to be reticketed on my flight from Tokyo to Hanoi. It took them 3 1/2 hours to do this. I had to sit in the airport for 3 1/2 hours to get my ticket changed. Unbelievable. They could’ve chiseled it in stone faster than they issued it."

Ưu: "Their customer service is excellent! when I left my card (fell out of my pursue while in transit), they called me immediately! After a long vacation, exploring. I was extremely tired and and left my phone completely on silent for 4 days, and within those 4 days they called and left me messages. Lucky I live here in Hawaii, can you imagine being a tourist and you lost your card? Excellent customer service."

I had the Japanese fare, which was lighter, but a little more salted than what I prefer - but over all very good. Service was amazing - the crew is super-nice. The plane, a massive 787 jet, absorbed the turbulence like it was nothing. It was like riding in one of those Cadillacs from the 1970's. The lavatories were big enough that I could actually stand up straight (and I'm 6'0"). The seats were pretty good as well - they had a feature for extension of the seating surface to allow for more thigh support (which I love) as well as great lumbar support. the movie selection was OK - neither great nor bad, and I ended up watching 4 movies during the flight anyway. ;)"
Khuyết điểm: "I preface this section by saying that I'm being very nit-picky here - there's not much I can really say, except that the seats, while they will recline to a flat surface, which is great for dozing off, they are angled about 15 degrees so you're constantly sliding down them in that position. Also, there could be more support for your head in the reclined position - I had to futz with pillows and a blanket to get that comfortable. However, the reclined position was the most comfortable, and I could get it so that I was sufficiently reclined with my legs extended and horizontal, while laying back without sliding down. This was sufficient for resting. I'm only mentioning this because I flew a business class flight on Delta in 2015 which had ridiculously amazing seats that reclined all the way flat and horizontal. On the 9-11 hour flight from Tokyo back to San Diego, which will take place mainly at night, this would be a very useful feature."
Ưu: "As expected from JAL, the flight was amazing in every way. The food (the Japanese meal) was not typical airline food, it was actually very good. The courtesy packets had many useful items including eye refreshers, lip balm, and the bathrooms were kept very clean and stocked with both mouthwash and toothbrush/paste. All together as flawless and comfortable an experience as possible on a commercial carrier."

Ưu: "The crews on ANA (Flight Attendants) are the hardest working, most polite and service oriented of ANY carrier I can remember. When the cabin lights are ON, the crew is hustling to keep the passengers occupied and chewing. Free Beer, Wine and mixed drinks in Coach! Every Service - Snack, Drinks, Lunch, Dinner, Coffee/Tea, Second and Third rounds of drinks includes a cold towel to wipe your face and hands and most important, trash is collected promptly EVERY single time. WOW. I noticed that Flight Attendants take notes on sleeping passengers for every major meal service, and they take the time to revisit those customers when awake to check they might have wanted to be fed. I also noticed that the crew has special double sided tape to pickup crumbs and spills in the aisles so grime is not tracked into the carpet. Dont be surprized to see a flight attendant cruising the aisle after dinner with a soft cooler full of small vanilla Hagen Daz cups..."
Khuyết điểm: "We flew from Bangkok to Washington Dulles with a connection in Tokyo. Snow in Japan caused crew shifts to max out and ultimately a dramatic change in flight departure. (Guaranteeing a missed connection) This caused multiple downstream challenges. 1. Original flight was scheduled for 00:30. (Half Past Midnight), rescheduled flight was scheduled for 12:30 (Half Past Noon) For Americans unused to a 24 hour clock, this made emails From ANA very difficult to wrap your mind around. Was it a typo? What happens when you miss your connection? (Turns out weather delays do NOT result in accommodations or meals being provided) Rescheduled flight should have been for 1231 with (AM/PM in Parentheses) 2. For passengers who spent their vacation/trip near the equator, the prospect of spending the night in snowbound Tokyo was simply not addressed in the cancellation email. The better option was to stay in your original point of origin and make the connection in one day, but email has NO telephone number for passengers to call to make these arrangements. (We ended up calling a toll California telephone number to be sure we got an English speaking agent) 3. Many SE Asian departing cities have a crazy baggage weight policy that allows for Two bags of 25 Kilos each , but if you have a single bag that weights 32 Kilos, you must pay excess baggage. Although the policy may NOT be specific to ANA, there are hundreds of folks of all nationalities repacking suitcases on the floor of the airport, to try to meet the regulations. As a traveler I understand this, but as an ANA customer it makes no sense, especially when the ticket agent cannot charge the overage to a credit card at the ticket counter. Instead sending you to a different location then waiting for you to return with a receipt. Its a huge scam and ANA can do better communicating the rules to passengers via email or their web site. Nothing starts a long trip off worse than arguments over arcane rules. 4. Changing a return flight arrangement as a result of weather happens at the last moment, but seat assignments apparently could not keep up. I would rather NOT fly than face a center seat in coach for 14 hours. I cannot explain what happened, but repeated attempts at advance check in showed NO assigned seats available, the ticket and gate agents could not improve on this, but BOTH flights ended up having empty seats and in the end we stressed for nothing. ANA must be able to do better, improving their IT systems to make advance seat assignments possible no matter how challenging the problem of "equipment" and other changes in the face of a canceled flight."

Ưu: "This was my first time flying ANA (LAX to Haneda and back) and I have to admit it was surprisingly great. I am a pretty tall guy and found the room for my feet in economy to be more than adequate even though i found myself in a middle seat both flights. The flight attendants were extremely attentive, even as my flights were both overnight/red-eyes. The selection of movies available at each seat was pretty good and included your standard Hollywood stuff along with a decent selection of Japanese film, television, and various documentaries. Whether or not subtitles are available for non-Japanese speakers for Japanese language media was kind of hit and miss (I actually did browse around quite a bit), but I was impressed nonetheless. I would warn some western based travelers that they may not find the food to be all that appetizing. I chose the Japanese style option both flights (rice, miso, salad, fish), however I know that had I had any of my family members along for the flight they would have gone with the international option and they probably wouldn't have enjoyed it all that much."

There are not enough computers for passengers to report what they have to report. Also, many passengers I saw did not know how to use a computer."

At least one seat on each row should be eliminated, as well as one row to give economy class room. I was on the aisle (seat D), and was unlucky to have a woman and her husband (seats E & F) ask me to get up several times (because passenger in seat G was asleep). I was not at all happy with the movie choices; they were mostly modern and violent. Food selection was unavailable. Menu choices were chicken & fish. Chicken was NOT AVAILABLE."

Ưu: "Compared to the cattle car feeling of many airlines today, Emirates feels like gracious luxury and hospitality, and that's for economy class. I will try to fly with them as much as I can. First rate experience. Very good ticket price and a convenient non-stop route- unlike some low fares that want to add hours and hours to your travel by routing you through the home country of the airline. Great entertainment choices. Some TV functionality issues for a seatmate, but he was able to change seats. cabin crew was multinational, multilingual, and warm and professional. It reminded me of the way air travel used to be."

Staff was very nice. Seats were comfortable. We had to wait in line 30 min for boarding. Otherwise everything else was excellent.

Very tight seats and spaces, almost impossible to watch the screen or eat a meal if the seat in front of you is pushed back. Attendants were not accommodating. Two meal options were offered, pasta & beef. Ordered pasta, I was told there is no more pasta. Ordered beef meal instead, received salmon meal. Later during flight I saw attendant sitting down in their station eating pasta meals. The list goes on....

Ewr staffing had us waiting on the tarmac for 30 min dor a marshaller and someone to get the jetway to the door. Not Turkish Airlines fault on that one. Seating in economy was tighter than previous flights. An older A-330 was our plan. 6’1” with long legs, had to put my feet in the aisle for most of the flight due to lack of space

I willingly gave up my seat to allow this. The crew didn't have another seat in mind, however, and I spent several minutes simply waiting in the aisle before they shuffled me to the front of the plane and made me sit in a much worse seat--a middle seat nowhere near any of my family members, nestled next to a large man who was clearly extending well into the seat they meant for me to take. It was clearly a terrible seat and I made the following 12 hour flight in significant discomfort. I was very dissatisfied with the crew's behavior. When a passenger books a comfortable seat near my family, and willingly gives it up to accommodate other passengers, they should not be treated so poorly"

The entertainment is also the best system, with the most options I have seen on any airline. And the seats are much more comfortable than most planes- the headrests bend so much, you can actually sleep without your head rolling off the headrest!"

Also, the comments about leg-room, ... correct. I'm 6' 3" and 'uncomfortable' sums it up pretty well. For 10½ hours, being crammed into that small a space can be quite daunting."

I had an injury and surgery to my right foot, and as a result was using a walking can for m9bility. One my return flight to UK one cabin crew member decided in their wisdom to place said cane in the overhead bin. I advised her, I didn't like nor think this to be a good idea. Things move when taking off and my fair was if one wasn't aware the cane was there it may fall and injure someone. She insisted, and put the can into the overhead bin, and surprise, one of her fellow cabin members opened this b8n, and down came the cane on a passenger's head. For her injury, they offered her water and proceeded to hand the cane back to me. On flight TK 603 or TK 1983 we were assigned seats in economy row 20 A and b, well my son was seated in 20B, almost sliced his palm on the armrest, because the cover that should have been there wasn't, thus exposing jagged metal. I had to insist that we be moved and they should NEVER allow the cabin be loaded with such dangers visibly exposed. They didn't seem to show much concern, since the flight was full of "blacks"...! On our maiden flight on this airline, we had a 15+ hour layover. Couldn't get assistance from airport staff on simple questions such as where could one rest for the 15 hours, airport staff are busy riding around on automated wheel chairs, and when we asked them to assist an elderly lady who obviously could not walk the distance to her boarding gate in Istanbul, we were met with glares, or look of "they don't know English" or simply being miss directed, whilst my son carried this ladies heavy bag, including his own, and I on my walking stick, until we located the infraction desk, where a true gentleman, by the name of Mahmet came to our rescue, or more importantly took over the matter and assisted this lovely lady who was heading back to new york, to get her water for her medication, a chair to sit on until a wheelchair was brought to her. Honestly, in the many years that I've traveled, I've never seen or encountered a group of unprofessional, disrespectful and just downright prejudiced to visitors to their country! You couldn't pay me enough to visit Turkey or ever fly Turkish Airlines again in my life. So, so disappointed and disgusted by the whole experience it begs the question, how was this airline voted the 2nd best airline in Europe? You must have a very low ranking requirement, or my expectations are just too high for this airline, airport and the people I encountered."

Complaint filed with Turkish airline resulted in nothing. I made several calls for update and only repose I got was we will send an email to the complaint dept. and you will here in 24 hours. This has been going on for over 5 days with no contect, update or resolution. Once back in the US, I plane to file a formal complaint with FAA and more. DO NOT take this airline. They are worst airline I have ever used and will never use it again."

Flight was delayed multiple times

Delta appears to lack honesty

My lay over was changed so that my flight was boarding on the opposite side of the airport at the same minute I was walking through the gangway getting off my first flight. I took screen shots of the times and it was alarming to say the least.

Khuyết điểm: "I had a flight with a connection starting at 6 PM on a Monday. At 5 AM the day of the flight I received notification that the first flight would be delayed, making connection impossible, I was prompted to select another flight to arrive to my destination. I chose a flight with a connection staring at 7 PM. Upon getting on the first flight we began to prepare for takeoff. After about 30 minutes the pilot notified us that we would be delayed 40 minutes because we had nowhere to land at my connection airport. I realized at that point that I would possibly miss my connection, which was scheduled at 10:20 PM. However, I did arrive at the connection airport around 9:40 PM which would have given just enough time to arrive at the connection gate. Unfortunately, upon arrival to the connection airport the pilot informed us that we would have no gate to de-board the plane. The pilot stated that all connections "were aware of our delay" and gave us the gates for each connection. I got off the plane at 10:15 PM and ran to my connection gate arriving exactly at 10:20. The gate attendants informed me that my flight had left, my bags were on the way to my destination city and that I would need to spend the night in the connection city. The attendants, appeared disinterested and impolite but upon prompting provided us with a hotel voucher for the night. The next day we arrived at the airport 2 hours before boarding and waited at the gate. When it was near the time for departure we were informed that the plane had been downgraded and requests were made for some to give up their seats for a later flight or check carryon bags to make room for other passengers. While some lined up to give up their seats and bags, those who chose to remain on the original flight were forced to wait before boarding the plane. We were then told that we would have to wait until the pilot and crew arrived before boarding. Scheduled departure time was 5:46 PM but the time got pushed back until we boarded around 6:30, departure was rescheduled to 6:50 PM. We boarded the plane and waited for departure but a few minutes later the pilot informed us that "he just got here" and that there were mechanical problems that would cause further delay. After an hour we were informed that the plane was not able to fly and instructed to go to another gate for another plane. Departure time got rescheduled to 8:30 PM. The plane departed after 9 PM and arrived at 10:30 PM for a 5:46 PM scheduled departure."

I frequently fly and my choice of airline is delta, this by far has been the only dissappointnent. Please do make sure this gets to the person in charge."

Seems like such a small additional cost compared to such an offensive action. The money you save is certainly lost in bad publicity."

All very nice...esp for me who needed some wheelchair assistance. We will certainly fly with you again in the future."

Khuyết điểm: "The boarding agents lost control of the crowd form the get go. The first class cabin crew on our side of the plane was inattentive, though it appeared on the other half of the plane the crew was very attentive. This is one of the poorer first class seats in the industry. The "lie flat" seat is just that, a lie. It is pitched at an angle, though not as steep as some. Foot cubby is narrow and constrictive, bordering on claustrophobic."
