There was an attendant waiting as we deplaned in Seoul who escorted us to the gate and assured us that the plane would wait for us. And miraculously, our baggage tagged for short connection, did make it with us to JFK!"

Overall, for such a long flight, the airline is a pleasant one with which to fly."

I have food allergy and tried to request for special meals but the option was not there under my eticket number as described in their website. They say the option may not be available because I purchased my ticket from 3rd party, not from JAL or it was code share flight. Very inconvenient. I had to skip 2 meals out of 3in leaving for Japan. I got very hungry at the end of the flight...."

The flight had numerous crying babies on it, it was warm and stuffy once in flight, the crew brought you meals you didn't have a say in ordering and having to sit for an undetermined amount of time with the used tray in front of you really made the modest space even more so. I love JAL but this flight was not one of the better ones for me. Not through any fault of the staff, they are top notch, but certainly this flight ranks as just "okay"."

I had my time behind and I was super late to boarding but the crew came looking for me and they were super nice. Definitely recommend them. So when I arrived at the Thai Airways counter to load in my bags I asked the Thai Airways representative about the missing information. His response was that he could not get into the ANA system and that I have to go to the ANA counter to ask for that information. Given that my layover in Narita was only about 45mins landing to going to the gate, I was not comfortable with not knowing if I would be on that flight or not. The Thai Airways representation at the boarding counter did help me a bit and got in touch with a guide in Narita to help me get my luggages and get to gate properly. I wanted to note that we did not arrive in Narita on time due to the high air traffic so the plane had to circle around for 15 mins. When we finally landed I had about 15 mins to get through the custom and ran to my gate. When I received my ticket I was shocked that I got a middle seat on a 13 hours flight! If I have known this earlier I would have paid for a better seat, but since I was not able to check-in online and didn't receive any info about this flight prior to boarding I was not allowed to change on this full flight. In addition, the plane ride was awful. The food was disgusting and the seat was very uncomfortable. The seat did not even recline back! I don't expect much from a short distance flight but for a 13 hour long flight, I at least expect the seat to be slightly better than sitting on a rock against a brick wall. All in all, this was a HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE I went through. The stress and the discomfort on the plane was an experience that no one should ever feel while traveling. It was an awful nightmare on an ANA flight. I would like a refund on this flight with no exceptions. Sincerely, Jessica Saesue"

ANA - the service is great - attractive, good looking flight attendant like the way it was back in the 70-80's., food was great and a wide selection of movies. For a 16 hour flight, ANA is the way to go."

Ưu: "The in-flight entertainment options were rather sparse (compared to other airlines I've flown in the past e.g. Singapore Airlines/Qatar/Emirates). However, everything else was pretty good. The bathrooms were maintained throughout the flight and I appreciated the water bottle so I wouldn't have to keep waiting for the little trays of drinks to come around."

Ưu: "The crew was fantastic. I was not well throughout the entire flight and they went out of their way repeatedly to make sure I was as comfortable as possible, including giving up two of their own crew seats to me for most of the 14 hour flight from Taipei to New York. The crew also made sure that the bathrooms were kept stocked and cleaned. This is something you don't see enough of in other airlines where the bathrooms become disgusting by around mid-flight on long-haul flights. The entertainment systems are modern and designed well for practical use, unlike some other airlines that still have many or all controls situated on the armrests. They use quality touchscreens which control everything including the overhead light and attendant call button. I also like the fact that I could check 2 bags and select my seat without any fees unlike too many other airlines are doing today."

They have very few New Releases and don't seem to update them at the beginning of the month compared to many other airlines, such as Cathay Pacific. On long flights this is one thing that should be given more attention."

We were scheduled to start boarding at a certain time and we didn’t actually board until 45 minutes later. When we asked the attendants when we would begin boarding and did they have any instructions they were extremely rude, laughing with one another and taking selfies. When we we asked for the third time they brushed us off with a time frame. It was extremely disappointing."

This is not the airline's fault but I had a crazy lady next to me who was very disoriented, who could not speak English and needed assistance. No one would deal with her! She had a little pouch with her name on it -- like a UM -- so someone knew something was not right when they put her on the flight. I bought drinks inside the terminal for this 14 hour flight but they were all confiscated at the additional security at the gate!! WTF"
Khuyết điểm: "carry-on did not fit on center overhead compartment unless I put it side ways (Same carry-on suitcase fit nicely on Emirates airplanes, so the carry-on overhead compartments have been made smaller on Qatar on purpose or by engineering error, and I will not fly Qatar airlines again. Less food options. I went to the Gally and they only had kitkat bars for food. Emirates offer fruit, sandwiches, and many choices at ALL TIMES of the flight for economy class passengers. Entertainment computer (Android based system) ran slow and out of memory at times. Seats were not comfortable for 12hrs flight. My butt was starting to hurt. I did not have this issues on Emirates flights."

Everyone talks about how superior Qatar is, but I found nothing special about it...the seats, the food, the entertainment were all basic and nothing fancy. The crew, while very sweet, seemed inexperienced and green to me..but they were lovely and that's all that ultimately matters."

The entertainment is good but frustrating that it is constantly interrupted with announcement about everything. I have never heard that many on any other plane. The announcement about customs paperwork was long and done 2 times in English and 2 times in Arabic. There safety video is soooo long and again is done in two languages. It was just all too much. Besides that everything was great."

I noticed that the crew was giving menu cards for dinner when coming back to US. Food quality is very ad, quantity is small also. same story with snacks. they don't offer enough food overall. The crew should be trained better for int'l passengers."

I confirmed the wheelchair option well advance before her travel date in Qatar Airways Web site. I got the confirmation also in the Qatar Airways Web site. I usually fly with my family as I have a big family with couple of children and elderly. I will never fly Qatar again, this was the 1st and the last fly with Qatar airways."

My bag arrived 5 days late. I had to buy clothes on a daily basis which ate up more time and fun money. The airline gave me nothing except empty promises and dismissive apologies."
