Khuyết điểm: "I wasn't allowed to reserve a seat - apparently they don't allow Kayak customers to reserve seats now. I was forced into a middle seat and was uncomfortable and dehydrated the majority of the trip. Nice girl at baggage check said she'd ask a manager to move me, and to let them know at the gate, but the people at the gate said no. I felt discriminated against because I didn't book through them and/or I'm not Japanese. They historically love to put mushrooms in their food, like a fetish. This left me with one choice for the entree - some version of oyakodon - eggs and chicken. In my box there were two enormous chunks of fat/skin and another unidentifiable part of the chicken, and about the amount of edible chicken as 1 1/2 nuggets from Chick-Fil-A. There was more lotus root than chicken, so basically I had a box of rice and scrambled eggs with garnish. For the second meal, it was the Yoshinoya gyudon - a small serving of thinly sliced beef with rice. If I bought this fresh at a Yoshinoya restaurant, it would cost about $3. It's the rough equivalent of serving you a McDouble - cheap and filling and a coin toss if you get stomach pains. I lost that coin toss. Unless there is a big fare difference or I find out that their reserved seat policies are changed, I will choose ANA or another carrier. I used to enjoy JAL, but I cannot abide by idiotic decisions that seemed designed to punish people for using 3rd-party booking sites or who are not Japanese."
Ưu: "Our flight was delayed due to lightning strike on arriving flight, we were transferred to non stop EVA Airline so we can get home and not need a connecting flight in Japan. JAL did all these arrangements without us requesting it. They also were very polite and got our luggage in time to be on the flight with us. JAL is truly a top airline in the world."

So from the scheduled time to arrive at Tokyo 5pm, we get to our Hotel at 2am. Good job Narita airport!"

We were told that it was done and just call back on 3/7 to confirm flight. When we called back on 3/7, they said the flight was never rescheduled and could not find a voice recording of the request. Despite our offering of evidence of our other ticket from Osaka to TPE (3/3-3/8 round trip) showing that it was not a no-show, and we have phone records of calling JAL on 3/1. Nevertheless, their customer care center in CHINA was firm that it cannot be done. The money has been wasted. Ridiculous service for a 3,500 business class ticket."

Thankfully they were helpful but they mentioned the ANA SHOULD have helped me find the next available flight but the representative kept repeating it was not her job. Finally she looked and said there were no available flights and tried to push me to buy another ticket through another company. My ticketing agent helped after she heard what happened and rebooked my flight for the next day. Hopefully everything goes smoothly but ANA staff at Gimpo were a bit of a nightmare to deal with"

There is an extra level of service in East Asia that is much appreciated by a weary traveler (6 weeks across Russia). Please don't ever loose it"

Ưu: "The in-flight entertainment options were rather sparse (compared to other airlines I've flown in the past e.g. Singapore Airlines/Qatar/Emirates). However, everything else was pretty good. The bathrooms were maintained throughout the flight and I appreciated the water bottle so I wouldn't have to keep waiting for the little trays of drinks to come around."

Out of all the programs to cut, the loyalty program? Really? 5. Flight attendants were not particularly friendly."

I especially enjoyed their in flight exercises before landing, it really felt great to get some proper circulation after sitting for a few hours."
Khuyết điểm: "While traveling on the long haul flights, I really liked flying on the Airbus; flight from Los Angeles to Seoul was initially on an Airbus, very modern with better screen and power outlets! My flight from Seoul to Los Angeles was on a Boeing which felt a bit older; entertainment screen was smaller and had a strange viewing angle (you have to adjust the tile until you get a clear view). While not really bad, I could've paid more attention to see if they inform which type of planes are being used during booking."

Khuyết điểm: "We travel between the US and Asia a couple of times a year and normally fly on EVA, who has wonderful service and great food. We took Asiana this time because the ticket price was significantly less than EVA. Below are the reasons we won't do it again. 1. The food was awful. My wife had the Asian dishes and I had the Western dishes. Both were well below the quality of food we're used to on EVA. 2. Transit in Seoul. On the way to Bangkok from LA we had 50 minutes to transit Seoul to our next flight. The transit security line was quite long and it was obvious that we, along with a few dozen other passengers, weren't going to be able to make the connection. After much complaining from us and our fellow passengers they ran us through another security line. Rushed to the airplane and made it. On returning to LA from Bangkok it was exactly the opposite. The only option was nearly 8 hours connection in Seoul. But we had plenty of time to negotiate the transit security line. These connect times did not occur because of a last-minute ticket purchase. I purchased these tickets in July for a December/January flight to Bangkok and return. 3. Inflight service was not at the level of EVA. Like any other Asian carrier, the flight attendants were light years ahead of ANY US airline crew, but below the standard of EVA. Waking you up to eat a meal (I typically don't eat dinner at 1AM), etc. I was sleeping with my seat reclined and the flight attendant took it upon herself to upright my seat at meal time and woke me up, presumably so the person in the seat behind me was more comfortable with space to eat their meal, but hey...I purchased the seat to sleep just like the other passenger purchased the seat to eat, so I think I had just as much right to "my space and comfort" as the other passenger did. Just little stuff that doesn't happen on EVA. 4. Inflight entertainment is lacking as compared to EVA. Few movie and TV choices, few game choices. 5. We sat in economy. The seats were not very comfortable. Seems the cushions were thin and it became like sitting on plywood after a while. Legroom on the 747 flight wasn't so great, but there was plenty of legroom on the A380. The A380 seating was still kinda hard, but the legroom sure helped. 6. Boarding process. Poorly organized. Nobody pays a bit of attention to "boarding by row number". Consequently it's a bit of chaos during boarding. The old saying, "you get what you pay for" is true. For a flight of that length I won't choose to save the $200 or so per ticket and will ride on EVA. We've proven to ourselves that EVA is just pretty hard to beat."

Ưu: "Our flight is only Incheon to Narita and later that night our final destination is LAX. I have checked in to Singapore Airlines the day before our flight. While checking in at the Incheon airport, the ground attendant ask me for my final destination. After a few minutes, shw mentioned that our baggage will be picked up at LAX. I was so relieved since this trip was 3 weeks with 3 50lbs luggage and 2 10 lb backpacks. I imagined going to Japanese Immigration again and explaining the reason for the entry. Because of this our layover is seamless. Star Alliance made it so easy for us to take their airlines anytime. Kudos to Star Alliance. Oh, the legroom is roomy for Economy! Nothing can compare with their airbus. I am only 5foot1inch and its like having a lounging chair. My husband whose 5’10” is happy with the space. Thanks for thinking of your passengers!"

Ưu: "On our flights to Palau and our return flight to Incheon, I had entire rows to myself, which was sweet!! I was able to stretch out a bit and get come good sleep."
Khuyết điểm: "Airlines have done a disservice to travelers by adding rows and packing passengers in like sardines. Thus making travel an uncomfortable nightmare for economy seats. Take out a few rows and add a premium economy section - that would be awesome! Plus the plane we flew on was old - still had ash trays. The attendants, while courteous were not very friendly and cocktails poured were not very good. And, the charger in my seat did not work - bummer. while I appreciate very much uneventful and safe flights to and from our destination, I will more than likely not fly Asiana again. I don't like giving poor reviews, but you can't know to fix something if you don't know it is broken."
Ưu: "Glad to have food and drink on the flight. Airline flight attendants were superb on all 4 Asiana flights from Honolulu, Hawaii to Vietnam via Seoul, Korea that I took. Beautiful as well as super efficient and responsive to all requests. I felt "served" as a customer in the best sense of the word, something I have not felt for a long time on an airplane. Even through the flights were long and very full, the attendants were very professional and this made the flight seem shorter and more enjoyable. The economy seat had more legroom and seat space than most other airlines, which made sleeping/dozing much easier. Pillow and blanket too."

Now I have a toddler running around the airport since she is not strapped down to her stroller, heavy carry on sand a broken stroller to carry around incheon airport trying to look for their office that nodoby knows where it’s located at!!!! When we finally found the office, their answer was to contact Chicago crew when we get back! No solution for us for the mean time! I’ll be on vacation for a month! Now I guess I have to pay for a new one out of my pocket for their mistake!"

Khuyết điểm: "This airline puts priority on Korean speaking men non Korean women with a helpless child. First of all, my child was too large for the bassinet so I held him the entire time. Fine, I get it's for safety. But to make matters worse, my child had a fever and cried out of discomfort for the first 3 hours of a 10 hour flight. A male passenger complained and instead of defending a mother and a helpless sick child, the flight crew kept insisting ways to make my baby stop crying. Do you think I wanted to hear my child in that much pain? No, of course not. One male crew member told me to take my child to the back of thr aircraft (away from the complaining man). Ummm... I paid for my seat just like everyone else!! To be treated differently just because my baby is crying is HORRIBLE. To top it off, the seats are the worst I've ever sat in. My back and butt were in so much pain from those horrible seats. Bottom line- I will NEVER fly with this airline again after the mistreatment my baby and I received. This airline puts Korean speaking men above anyone else's needs, including a helpless 14 month old who feels horrible and doesn't know how else to communicate pain. I'll add that we were on a 10 hour flight after a 9 hour layover in Incheon and a 4 hour plane ride that was DELAYED from 1:45AM to 3:45AM. We were extremely tired and had been through so much already. If the crew had been more protective of us and understanding to the fact that he's a BABY I would have let the complaints slide. Last note- this airline delayed us 3 separate times. Yes.. 3 separate occasions. Do I need to say anything more?"

Khuyết điểm: "It was very hot in the cabin. We were told that it was airline policy to keep the cabin that temperature. There is no way to adjust the temperature yourself. Also the chicken entrees should be avoided. If given the option chose the Korean meal."
Ưu: "The food and service were very good. Each of the crewmembers I encountered was professional, courteous, and friendly. I also enjoyed the food, and for the first time in my life I think I said "no thank you, that's enough"!"
Khuyết điểm: "first, although this was an international trip , in business class, the seats were more like something you would find in the premium economy section of other airlines. They were tired and outdated. Second, The entertainment package was abysmal. Basically, you were forced to watch a TV with bad reception, and no ability to choose what you wanted to see other than flipping through the channels and seeing what was already on. That meant never seeing the beginning of a movie. The picture quality was very poor. Although an international flight of seven hours duration, it felt more like a charter bus to Vegas buy a discount operator. I have the exact same experience flying from Korea to San Francisco on a prior trip. If I could learn how to determine which aircraft I would be flying in the future, I would never book an international trip on Asiana knowing that this particular aircraft would convey me."
Ưu: "Between the legs of my Asiana flights, I had a 9-hour overlay at INC. Upstair in the same area with the pricey and exclusive lounges for elite travelers, there was a "Nap Space" or "Nap Place: a large suite of rooms with maybe sixty comfortable couches to catch up on missing sleep... with no sign-up required and no supervisory staff. And totally free of charge! Every airport should consider having such a welcomed service. Also at INC, bona-fide transit passengers with a outbound boarding pass can take a free shower (soap and towels provided as well?). Wow. These amenities surely make INC one of the least loathsome airports in Asia at which a day-long layover may be spent."

Khuyết điểm: "This was tough Journey. We though we got window seat, but it was not. We wanted to switch our seats because there were some seats who were opened all thru the flight. With all the respect, I asked crew member if we can change the seats, she said no. I said we are willing to pay more, she said no. NO ONE was sitting on those seats from Seoul to Delhi. Second, lay over from 2 1/2 hrs. became 5 1/2 hr. After all the wait, we did not even get the change the seats. I did not expect this form Asiana. This was very disappointing."
Ưu: "The crew on this leg were phenomenal. They were very proactive and friendly, and were always smiling and happy to help. Upon boarding, a family had taken over my seat and row, moving themselves without asking and displacing all 3 of us in that row. The crew quickly found a solution where everyone got a seat they desired, even with a completely full flight. The food and entertainment were excellent, with a decent variety of movies and TV shows."
Khuyết điểm: "When boarding, there is just one huge line with the entire flight lined up. Myself and a few other passengers just waited around the gate area until final call and then boarded, avoiding having to stand in the line that stretched to the next gate. Legroom was decent enough for a 5 hour flight. Asiana flights seem to be in no hurry to depart on time, although they usually arrive on time. We boarded on time, but my flight left the gate an hour late. However, we arrived to PNH ~15 minutes early, so that made up for the delay."
Ưu: "My flight: hanoi --->Incheon----> Chicago (Asiana) Chicgao---> GSP Origination flight in Hanoi to Incheon, agent failed to indicate that I had a final connecting flight from Chicago to GSP, SC. Flight from Incheon to Chicago departed nearly an hour after scheduled departure. --- resulted in me missing my next flight. Scrambled to reschedule my next earliest flight out of chicago. --- I advise Asiana ground agent about my situation and agent couldnt do anything for me! No hotel? Or apologize? Was very upset. It was a 14 hour flight and past 10 pm, I was tired. Asiana could have booked a hotel night but they chose not to. Lack of accountability and service! United at least rebooked me for their next morning flight. Charged extra for my carryon"

Ưu: "The price: my round trip ticket from Tokyo Haneda to JFK was only 850USD The layover is only 2 hours which is bearable and enough time to find the boarding gate and a little shopping."
Khuyết điểm: "Everything else. You can check-in online within 48 hrs before your flight, but there is no QR code produced on their app for paperless check-in. The food was terrible, and the seats were not made for long flights. I really felt the "economy" vibe. They only provide disposable slippers, but everything else you need to check the lavatories if there were toothbrushes or mouthwash packets left. Overall, I will still consider flying this airline for any emergency flight back to the US, but if there will be a compeittive airline, maybe i'd try another. Their business class seem enticing.. maybe comsoder it too."

Khuyết điểm: "They just gave me two choices for food without any description; both times I got the lesser of two meals. The staff got a little testy when I didn't know what they were offering."
Khuyết điểm: "1. The stewards were not friendly, especially she kept on forgetting to give me food since I was unfortunately sitting by the window next to 2 big men in the middle and aisle seats. 2. In LA while getting my luggages from the caroussel, I asked the porters 3 times to help me lift, but they ignored me and just attended to the ones with wheelchairs. Even if I'm not in a wheelchair, I am a seniour, and there are aches already in my body here and there. So that day, my back was aching til the following day. Lesson learned, other airlines are much much better than Asiana when it comes to treatment given to seniours. My first time to try, maybe the last."
Ưu: "I like flying Asiana! Clean, they have built in entertainment screens, and friendly staff."
Khuyết điểm: "The only thing I found confusing was I requested a Hindu vegetarian meal. For some reason, part of my meal had chicken... luckily, had dinner before boarding the plane so wasn't an issue."
Ưu: "Food was delish (esp the Korean options), and crew was very courteous. The plane going to our destination had an updated online entertainment system -- touch screen worked w/o too much effort and the control was an easy reach from in front of you but I can't say the same for the flight back which i think is an older plane."
Khuyết điểm: "I was getting sick and had fever the day i was going to fly back home. I was contemplating moving my flight but wanted to know if I could do it without getting charged (say if I had a doctor's note from the hospital) or at least how much I would have to pay... I didn't get to ask at all because (1) it was hard for me to find the correct customer service to call and (2) when I reached it, I was asked to call again as services were busy. I ended up taking the flight sick because I didn't want to rack up extra charges. Also, I find the seats pressing on to my thighs if my legs are in a relaxed position (meaning not trying to keep my knees together as if I was in a job interview). I've had to put a blanket or pillow between me and the armrests so they wouldn't hurt. Some airplanes have thinner more streamlined armrests and those have made some of my other travels more comfortable."

Khuyết điểm: "The planes are old, have no wifi, and poor entertainment. But worst of all the seats SUCK! I had a window seat and there was a metal box in the foot space! A 10 hour flight with no place to put my feet or legs. The seat was cramped and unbearable. I noticed every window seat has this box. This should never be designed for a transatlantic flight. I will NEVER fly them again. The food was pretty nasty too. Rubbery chicken and the omelet was gross at breakfast. The check in process was terrible. Everyone just files in line, no order to boarding people."
Ưu: "Everyone was so personable. We had 4 adults , 2 boys and a baby girl so it was hard to get everyone situated but with the staff on the plane it was just simplicity. All of our needs were met , wether it was someone wanting an extra blanket or the baby needing food or even helping the 2 boys get situated before and after take off . They apparently love babies because they couldn't get enough of ours and were always wanting to play with her and make her smile (which goes along way) and that helped her not feel so groggy on the plane . They know it's a long flight so they get you comfortable even down to giving you slippers and great tasting food."
Khuyết điểm: "The only thing I didn't like was the long flight but that's not the staffs fault, it was inevitable if your flying halfway across the world . the plane had 12 inch touch screen tv with music, movies, games , news , kids entertainment and even how to learn Korean so it it was very helpful in keeping you entertained throughout the plane ride ."

Khuyết điểm: "On the way back to Singapore, there was no entertainment in each seat. Didn't expect this and never experience from my previous flight with Asiana. There was the main screen in the centre but I can't choose and the lights were on all the way when I tried to sleep. Disappointed that they didn't inform in advance. People expect Asiana as same as SQ which provides full of new equipment such as personal screen on each seat."

Ưu: "Asiana staff are not trained in medical issues such as what to do when a passenger complains they are feeling weak from low blood sugar/hypoglycemia conditions. It is common for people with low blood sugar to have blood sugar drops while flying. The condition is dangerous if not handled properly but can be remedied very easily by simply increasing a passenger's intake of protein (such as chicken or beef) and carbohydrates, such as rice (but not white bread or deserts, as those cause spikes and drops in blood sugar). Basically, you only need an extra meal. I told a crew member about my condition and said I simply needed a second meal. She gave me a problem about it and at first refused. She understood the English words low blood sugar, but she was obviously not trained in that common issue. I was ready to pass out due to a drop in blood sugar and only when I threatened to file a lawsuit in a U.S. court against Asiana (as I anticipated passing out) did she react. Within a few seconds after I mentioned a potential lawsuit, she got me a second meal of chicken and rice. I ate it and the protein and carbs stabilized my blood sugar for the rest of the flight. It's a problem easily remedied but I had to argue with the flight attendant to grant my very simple but very necessary request. U.S. and European carrier understand this condition very well, and their crews are trained in how to handle it by simply giving extra food. Asiana needs to comply with modern, global norms."

Khuyết điểm: "My only complaint is that the cabin staff were often not visible for hours at a time. On my flight from LA to Seoul, the crew was constantly in the aisles offering water and juice without being summoned by passengers. There were a few times when I wished that someone would come by with water or juice, but didn't want to press the call button to get them. Lunch options as we neared LAX were both Asian style, and a middle-ground option would have been appreciated. On the outbound flight to Seoul we had breakfast options that included pancakes."

Hostess refused to exchange it with beef saying thete eas no more on the spot, not even asking others waitresses from different raw, while later on when everyone wad sleeping I went to asked for water and there you go. She ead eating the beef from economic class and a dish from first class. I always thought that customers are valuable because we pay their salaries?! Very desapointed from this hotess from the Philli. Who during the who flight treat me like dirt, maybe she hates Americain? Also most of movies are children oriented only a few for mature minds and they are over a year old. First time on Asiana and last time even been a star alliance member what a disappointment!"

Khuyết điểm: "1.Flight Network said that the transaction was in US dollars. Therefore there shouldn't have been a currency exchange fee from my US bank. However, Flight Network charged Canadian dollars, so my US bank charged me a 3% exchange fee and the Canadian bank charged me another $8 fee resulting in a combined $32 extra to the price.of my ticket. Flight Network was not honest about the currency of the transaction. Kayak should require that Flight Network and any other vendors be honest about the currency of the transaction. 2. The extra 5 hours of layover at Incheon Airport was a total drag. It caused me to miss my connecting flight from LAX to Mexico City, so by the time I got into Mexico City there were no more buses running to Queretaro. I had to book a room in Mexico City at an additional expense and pay for taxi fare that I would not have needed if Asiana Airlines hadn't added 5 extra hours of layover to my trip."

Sorry to grade for " Boarding, Mediocore" Nevertheless, the girl made us too confused. our departure to HK thru Seoul, she gave us boarding pass only to Seoul and my husband uses a cane due to leg pain. ( he can not bend his leg properly). I asked her to give a front seat. She simply ignored my request. At least, she should better say yes or no! However, other staffs helped us!"

Khuyết điểm: "Delayed for several hours after boarding because of a technical difficulty with the airplane. This delay caused me to miss an important dinner meeting in Thailand and cost me extra money to arrange transportation from the BKK to my hotel."
Khuyết điểm: "I wad so confused. I wonder Why your call centers registered in korea, china and u.s in lost service always? Instead of me, a hotel manager talked with call center after so many trying. But just told her it was my fault and you cut the call. I think your customer service team helped me more proper and instantly. But I was so sorry because your team just tell me to cancel and to rereserv again. Of course It was one of the solution I agree. If I buy the other ticket.
