I ended up getting a seat, but this was unnecessary stressful (there were some seats left in business, so they knew I was going to get a seat eventually. Meal preferences were not saved/changed despite having the information being saved on the United profile, requested at the time of booking, and requested again more than 24 hours before the flight. As a result, a suitable meal was not available during the flight.
No foof or drink service due to turbulence.
Service, punctuality, and efficiency were excellent. Airline food ...well a choice other than a chicken sandwich would have been appreciated. Otherwise, I will certainly fly again with United Airlines. The staff in Lima for the flight to Houston were absolutely wonderful. Muchas Gracias United!
Food and crew sympathy could be improved
I like how clean the plane, and how the crews are polite. But the seat is not so comfortable. The food is so so. All in all 3/5. I will still use this airline but I will try others too

Khuyết điểm: "I am claustrophobic and the only opportunity I had to select a seat was when I checked in 24 hrs before the flight. The only aisle seat left was in the back row of the plane. Between the person in front of me fully reclining their seat and my inability to fully recline my own seat (airplane design) and with pepole standing in the aisles waiting for the toilets - I was very uncomfortable for most of the flight. United also had problems with their entertainment system so for an 8 hour long flight, there was much room for improvement."

Khuyết điểm: "If flying within the States we used United Airlines; a partner of Air Canada. The flight itinerary changed numerous times before our departure, including two days before we left. The change added an additional layover, and put us at our destination nearly 6 hours later than out original booking. This meant we lost a decent portion of the first day of our honeymoon. However, we were forced to stay an extra day when our return flight was cancelled. After spending 8 hours in the airport we were informed that our Monday flight was cancelled, and the next available flight would not be until Wednesday! United Airlines let us down on the way to our destination and on our trip home. Air Canada was great, but I dread having to use their partner United Airlines."

THEY WERE WRONG! . we wasted 15 mins for luggage that we then found out did not need to be picked up as it was routed direct to Vancouver. This almost made us miss our next flight and caused us a lot of stress. We had specifically asked the crew to check as we thought it was ticketed to Vancouver but they insisted WE WERE WRONG"

Ưu: "I had no complaint when I flew from Newark to Lima.flight attendants were nice and respectful they knew what they were doing. My travel back to the States were different. Since it was an overnight flight i expected to sleep most of the time. When I was resting suddenly one of the attendants literally scream in my ear to ask if I wanted chicken or beef??? I was like" can you see I was sleeping? To me that was rude. Also they didn't coordinate to serve drinks they took more than usual to serve. No one even ask if we want more drinks or not. Hope they do better"

It is clearly a business decision and United makes more money that way; but at what cost? If I pay for a flight; at minimal, I expect to get to my destination. Service, comfort, entertainment and all other categories rank a distant second to getting to one's destination. That is the primary function of an airline and United has compromised that through the overbooking practice."
