Departing from San Diego, this was only an option once a year I was told at the check in counter. I was counting on extra width and legroom as I am 270 lbs and 73" tall. I was disappointed that these up-gradable seats were not available. I also did not like that we sat on the Oksaka tarmac at a divert airport from Narita (Tokyo) and were not given an option to leave the plane and find alternate transportation of our choice to get us to our destination. I understand the high winds and bad weather was not allowing us to land on time, but we sat on the tarmac for 2 1/2 hours and then left to fly into Narita 5 hours late."

Nobody arranging it and people just going wild, nobody knows where the line should begin. We spent 2 hours plus in the imigration line. So from the scheduled time to arrive at Tokyo 5pm, we get to our Hotel at 2am. Good job Narita airport!"

Announcements were in multiple languages, and very easy to understand. The flight was only 2 hours long, but even during that short time, they maintained great professionalism and polish. They even retrieved and stowed a bag multiple times for an elderly passenger without complaint, and frequently checked on him to see if he needed anything else. Quite nice to see!"

A part of the interior wall fell off onto my foot upon take off and I had to hold it in place for a while until a hostess came....doesn’t give you the best feeling when the plane starts breaking on take off. One of the male stewards was appalling towards a young mum I sat next too...too the extent of giving her dirty looks because she spilled a bit of water on the seat and then told her she had to pack everything away she was using, including the baby wipes! I stepped in and told him how this was not ok and all other staff members were helpful and he was making this Mum upset. He should not be working for such a people friendly reputable airline! Maybe Jetstar instead! Was appalled at the entire flight to be honest!"

Ưu: "It's not the cheapest way to fly but it's a great way to cross the Atlantic. Seats are big enough for 2, really. Lay flat beds make the night crossing east tolerable. You really can get several hours sleep. The cabin crew is outstanding, patient, and extremely responsive to requests. Two meals served were excellent. Entertainment choices were complete. After a number of flights in Economy on other airlines I'm spoiled by Singapore Airlines and also by Business Class. And their fares seemed much less than others for the JFK to FRA route. Had no idea this level of luxury existed on an airplane."

My wife and I both took note that the flight attendants were "First Class" with emphasis on class. Exceptionally well groomed, but also conveyed genuine concern and helpfulness and at the same time, real workers, energetic and perky. We are bragging to all our friends about the uplifting cultural demeanor of Singapore Airlines. They should all get a pay raise. I will always remember their wonderful service when thinking about our trip to Frankfurt, Germany. Robert"
Khuyết điểm: "I purchased this ticket without realizing that the law stipulated 6-month validity remaining on one's US passport to enter singapore. The Singapore Airways website does not state this anywhere, and it was not until I arrived at the airport that I was informed that I wouldn't be able to check in, but nor could I refund or transfer the ticket. The booker should be obliged, when one enters the passport information upon purchasing the ticket, to make note if the passport expiration time is not valid for the flight. Spent $600+ on the flight, and the customer service person I spoke to from the airport was very abrasive and not interested in helping me figure out an alternative."

The lines to get vouchers were super long, and the hotel was not the best. It was way after midnight when I got to the hotel, and I did not feel safe staying at a Quality Inn. I had to walk to my room outside, and had leave in the morning in the dark as well. I was traveling alone. Please put your passengers in a better hotel, closer to the airport. I did not expect that from American Airlines."

For those of us gluten-sensitive, watching our glucose levels, or salt intake there’s nothing. A 40 minute gate change from B29 to A11 in PHX was barely long enough to walk far less find and buy a healthy meal. Yet again I arose at 4am and had nothing to eat until after 4pm. ALL the airlines can do better."

Khuyết điểm: "American Airlines (British Airlines partners) are a horrible airline. My 8 am flight has a mechanical issue. Which they kept up on the plane till 11. Now no mater what other plane I catch idmiss my connection in Dallas. Which means I don’t get to Paris on time. Which ruined my plans to surprise my gf and propose to her. It took one call to British Airlines to get me rebooked. Something american was taking hours. I still won’t make it on time but at least I’ll make it. American then misplaced my luggage and it took two hours to retrieve it. Turns out it was sitting behind the counter the whole time the kept telling me it would be on the baggage flame area."

I tried giving AA a chance, but compared to when I flew on WestJest two months prior for almost the exact same trip (I flew to San Francisco versus San Jose that time), WestJet was by far more superior in terms of customer service, boarding organization, and friendliness. First of all, what bugged me profusely was the lack of seat selection and the crazy pricing for certain seats. On WestJet, the emergency exit seats were available without any additional cost, yet AA was charging $66 USD to sit there. Furthermore, seats closer to Business class also carried a charge of $25 (or something like that) - ONLY because you get to board sooner. I would understand if there was extra legroom involved, but really, it's just a matter of sitting and getting off before anyone else. If anything, those seats should be given to passengers who have tight connecting flights and need to get off asap. even in those cases, you shouldn't be charging someone almost $30 just so they can make it to their next flight that YOUR company arranged within such a short time frame. But the most annoying thing about my trip with AA was the fact that I had to take out all of my belongings from my carry-on and carry them in my arms because there was no room left in the overhead compartments. Excuse me?? How is there not enough room? So I had to walk with my laptop, my iPad, my Beats headphones, my laptop and iPad charger, amongst other things, in my hands to the aircraft. Thank goodness I found a plastic bag, because otherwise I probably would have lost something expensive on that plane. Furthermore, as I walked to my seat, there was most definitely places that I could have stowed my carry-on luggage in the overhead compartments. You shouldn't let people put things like purses and bags of food in the overhead, when those can be stowed underneath the seats in front."

Khuyết điểm: "- This was an older Boeing 738 plane that American Airlines refurbished. It still has the old style overhead bins and just feels old, - Like on many on these older planes, the power outlets don't work. - No food offered, even for Executive Platinum member. Unpleasant crew."

Khuyết điểm: "Flight was delayed several times - blamed on Chicago ATC. The food offered was not suitable for First Class - there was chicken and vegetarian option. The FA was rather slow in serving and clearing trays. She was not interested in going around and asking for refills - when I inquired about it at dessert time, she didn't come back for 15 minutes and I had to ring the call button - she informed me they didn't have my drink of choice, so it was OK for her not to come back and tell me that. Service was terrible in First Class. American should seriously do something about that."

Khuyết điểm: "The flight was not smooth, it seemed like the pilot didn't know what he was doing. I arrived an hour early for my flight and my bag got left behind. I'm only here for a day and a half and my bag won't reach me for another 24 hours. Really poor experience with AA."

It took many calls, one with over an hour wait, where were told different stories and expectations. I did not receive an actual ticket until the very morning if this flight!! It was very stressful!"

Ưu: "The crew was very nice and helpful. They saw I am a large person using a crutch for my foot and upgraded me to business economy with an empty seat next to me. The plane was only about half full, so this was easy for them."
Khuyết điểm: "The in-flight entertainment had an annoying habit of pausing frequently to buffer the movie. I tried to pause it purposely to gain buffer, but to no avail. Because of this, I was unable to watch the entire film. I chose the length to be well below the flight time, so the lack of closure was annoying. There are not enough chocolate choices in the snack menu."

It was a very long and slow process, but staff were friendly and professional even with difficult passengers. The thing that bugged me was they kept telling us not to worry and that the flight would be delayed so that we all could make it. I was the last one on the plane and I know there had to be at least 10 that didn't make it in time. I think the flight was only delayed by like 15min or so. I don't think they should tell people not to worry because the plane will wait for them, when it didn't wait for all. I get it that you want to also please those in the plane already and those waiting at destination so I'm not upset. Just giving feedback."

Khuyết điểm: "all flights from Madison to Chicago ended up being canceled, but they did not tell us until around 430pm. I ended up having to take a bus after waiting in the airport for 4 hours. If I had taken the bus as soon as I arrived I would not of missed my job interview."
