Sorry the review I just posted was for this flight which was the long haul flight. The planes were nice and that’s about it. No 2 full service meals, only a little tiny vegetable wrap an hour into the flight. Nothing else until the last 2 hours which was the only meal served. Terrible at that. Also no amenity kits were given. Not even a toothbrush. No snacks or nuts in between. Just an awful experience with a mediocre crew. Very disappointed in this supposed 5 star airline according to Skytrax.

When the cabin lights are ON, the crew is hustling to keep the passengers occupied and chewing. Free Beer, Wine and mixed drinks in Coach! Every Service - Snack, Drinks, Lunch, Dinner, Coffee/Tea, Second and Third rounds of drinks includes a cold towel to wipe your face and hands and most important, trash is collected promptly EVERY single time. WOW. I noticed that Flight Attendants take notes on sleeping passengers for every major meal service, and they take the time to revisit those customers when awake to check they might have wanted to be fed. I also noticed that the crew has special double sided tape to pickup crumbs and spills in the aisles so grime is not tracked into the carpet. Dont be surprized to see a flight attendant cruising the aisle after dinner with a soft cooler full of small vanilla Hagen Daz cups..."
Khuyết điểm: "We flew from Bangkok to Washington Dulles with a connection in Tokyo. Snow in Japan caused crew shifts to max out and ultimately a dramatic change in flight departure. (Guaranteeing a missed connection) This caused multiple downstream challenges. 1. Original flight was scheduled for 00:30. (Half Past Midnight), rescheduled flight was scheduled for 12:30 (Half Past Noon) For Americans unused to a 24 hour clock, this made emails From ANA very difficult to wrap your mind around. Was it a typo? What happens when you miss your connection? (Turns out weather delays do NOT result in accommodations or meals being provided) Rescheduled flight should have been for 1231 with (AM/PM in Parentheses) 2. For passengers who spent their vacation/trip near the equator, the prospect of spending the night in snowbound Tokyo was simply not addressed in the cancellation email. The better option was to stay in your original point of origin and make the connection in one day, but email has NO telephone number for passengers to call to make these arrangements. (We ended up calling a toll California telephone number to be sure we got an English speaking agent) 3. Many SE Asian departing cities have a crazy baggage weight policy that allows for Two bags of 25 Kilos each , but if you have a single bag that weights 32 Kilos, you must pay excess baggage. Although the policy may NOT be specific to ANA, there are hundreds of folks of all nationalities repacking suitcases on the floor of the airport, to try to meet the regulations. As a traveler I understand this, but as an ANA customer it makes no sense, especially when the ticket agent cannot charge the overage to a credit card at the ticket counter. Instead sending you to a different location then waiting for you to return with a receipt. Its a huge scam and ANA can do better communicating the rules to passengers via email or their web site. Nothing starts a long trip off worse than arguments over arcane rules. 4. Changing a return flight arrangement as a result of weather happens at the last moment, but seat assignments apparently could not keep up. I would rather NOT fly than face a center seat in coach for 14 hours. I cannot explain what happened, but repeated attempts at advance check in showed NO assigned seats available, the ticket and gate agents could not improve on this, but BOTH flights ended up having empty seats and in the end we stressed for nothing. ANA must be able to do better, improving their IT systems to make advance seat assignments possible no matter how challenging the problem of "equipment" and other changes in the face of a canceled flight."

We spoke with an Avianca supervisor who told us it was not her company's fault the flight was late. Avianca had a flight that night to our destination but they refused to find space for us, or to issue some type of refund or voucher for our lost time and money."

There was no entertainment available on this trip ever through there was a screen for each seat."

I free ticket or at minimum an upgrad on any star alliance partner would have been appreciated."

Told us that there was a sick passenger on the plane and asked if my friend and I would volunteer to take a flight out the next day, that star alliance would put us up in a hotel over night, pay for our evening meal and fly us business class in the morning, that all we had to do was wait at our departure gate And someone would call our name before boarding. We accepted, waited patiently, then we were scolded for having our checked bags with us and told multiple different conflicting stories about how we were to board our flight, that volunteers were no longer needed. I checked multiple times with check-in crew to confirm that the scenario was a go. They confirmed each time, so I canceled my accommodations for the evening in Lima. The change up at the gate left for a big mess to clean up. The gate crew kept arguing hat they never told us to cancel our Lima plans. But that was besides the point. The point was, they told us one thing, there was a major breakdown in communication among check in and gate crew as well as between all crew and me and no crew member took ownership or apologized for the flub up. And I'd like to point out, this was not a language barrier issue, all flight crew spoke English fluently. One crew member said all volunteers were obtained and they no longer needed us, another said that the sick person flying (the initial issue) was no longer flying, so no volunteers were needed. crew never owned that. they suggested that it was our issue that we canceled our plans. We were able to fix, but incredibly disappointing and frustrating experience."

Ưu: "I enjoyed very little about this experience. The crew was cordial however they lose the ability to perform simple tasks by the long standing protocols and overcrowded flights. Most of the crew are as unhappy as the passengers."
Khuyết điểm: "The plane hit the brakes while taking off and returned to the gate due to a warning light. We were told nothing other than we needed to wait. They said the fix took 5 minutes but our wait took 2 hours. Not efficient. They rent out tablets for on plane entertainment, unlike every other plane I've ever flown, they make you pay to keep you happy during a 5.5 hour flight. Food was horrible. The seat did not recline and they eradicate every ounce of comfort to overpack the plane. The Captian made little announcements and the one he did make upon decent, started with "please fasten your seat belts, we are 65 miles away from Honolulu but...", I was sure the "light" came back on 30k feet about the pacific and we were going down. Finally - the last announcement from the head stewardess didn't include "Aloah, thank you for flying United". Seems minor but it goes to show they don't care anymore. That's the first time I hadn't heard the welcomed message after my 20th trip to the Islands. After my return flight I vow to never fly United again."
