The check in/boarding pass was very easy. The lounge usage were great on both airports. Boarding were very smooth and effecient. In flight entertainment was very nice but Tokyo-NYC inflight meals were pretty bad, especially breakfast pasta. it came out with pasta not fully cooked.
Our connecting flight was cancelled, then our luggages were loaded onto a different flight that came in after the day of our arrival at Philadelphia. We arranged that we would pick-up rhe luggages from the airport, but AA delivered them instead. So we got our luggages at the end of the day already.
Food is probably the best I’ve had in the sky I like that they serve it in the morning instead at late night, lots of drinks to chose from. but the promised Haagen Dazs ice cream never came. Seat was very wide as it is 2-4-2 compared to 3-3-3 for all other Airlines’ 787, the IFE box makes the under seat storage slightly lacking. Touchless flush is a plus.
Highly efficient and great service
Japan Airlines should have done better incorporated with other codeshare airlines (JetBlue) to make sure our reservation doesn’t get mess up and that’s one of the reason why we stayed in Newyork for the whole day to wait for the next flight. Could have been much better experience but it wasn’t and worse. My flight got delayed in Newyork causing us to miss out our flight on the outbound from Narita to Vietnam. On the way back, the agent from JP airlines messed up our reservation and separate our name into 2 different reservations making us running around to figure out how to get the boarding pass for my partner which is ridiculous.

I called Kayak to resolve this since I had confirmation of the booking and was placed on hold. After 2 HOURS I hung up. At roughly 4:00 am I spoke with someone at Kayak who confirmed the flight was cancelled and that I was not contacted. An offer was made to put me on another flight a day later but that was impossible because of needing another Covid test. I was able to arrange another flight that was more expensive."

I had the Japanese fare, which was lighter, but a little more salted than what I prefer - but over all very good. Service was amazing - the crew is super-nice. The plane, a massive 787 jet, absorbed the turbulence like it was nothing. It was like riding in one of those Cadillacs from the 1970's. The lavatories were big enough that I could actually stand up straight (and I'm 6'0"). The seats were pretty good as well - they had a feature for extension of the seating surface to allow for more thigh support (which I love) as well as great lumbar support. the movie selection was OK - neither great nor bad, and I ended up watching 4 movies during the flight anyway. ;)"
Khuyết điểm: "I preface this section by saying that I'm being very nit-picky here - there's not much I can really say, except that the seats, while they will recline to a flat surface, which is great for dozing off, they are angled about 15 degrees so you're constantly sliding down them in that position. Also, there could be more support for your head in the reclined position - I had to futz with pillows and a blanket to get that comfortable. However, the reclined position was the most comfortable, and I could get it so that I was sufficiently reclined with my legs extended and horizontal, while laying back without sliding down. This was sufficient for resting. I'm only mentioning this because I flew a business class flight on Delta in 2015 which had ridiculously amazing seats that reclined all the way flat and horizontal. On the 9-11 hour flight from Tokyo back to San Diego, which will take place mainly at night, this would be a very useful feature."

Food from Philippines to Japan was excellent but served a little late. Food from Japan to USA WAS LOUSY and they only served hot food one time for breakfast which means 2 hours away from arrival. Hot food meal should have been served 2 hours after boarding in an airport where everything ia closed after 9 pm. Some of the connecting passengers did not have a hot meal for at least 12 hours or maybe more.

On balance though, still a top-class airline."

Sampler food this good is very heavy for a flight
Horrible experience at JKIA. Basic courtesy was lacking. Only the lady supervisor was pleasant and reasonable but it was too little too late for us.
Coach seats are just too cramped for an 14 hour and 45 minute flight. Not the airlines fault, that is just the way it is today. Great incentive to upgrade to Business Class, but that would have been an extra $970, not in the budget for my company. I will say this, the meals and flight attendants are world class, even in Coach. I had a blind woman sitting in front of me and the genuine care that the flight attendant proactively provided was heartwarming and inspirational. I was moved by the personal touch and genuinely sincere interest by the fight attendant in this woman's experience and safety. Every aspect of the journey, this particular flight attendant made the airline proud.

The main courses were mediocre and the "sandwich" offered between meals on the 13+ hour flight was cold, soggy and inedible. The seats on our A350 were hard and not very comfortable, and the recline function was difficult to operate. Security at the Doha airport was confusing. We had to go through 3 separate checkpoints for our transfer, each with different rules and procedures. The final check at our departure gate was the worst, with impatient officials giving hurried instructions in heavily-accented English, and scolding if passengers didn't understand. I was sent back through a second time to remove my camera from the bag (and to be scolded by the agent), and was patted down a second time coming back through the x-ray, which had green-lighted me both times. It made me wonder if this was a reaction to the extra scrutiny that Arab passengers receive from our airport security in the USA."

The flight was the longest worst ever! 14 hours - nothing to eat or drink! In addition, the head flight attendant said the baggage compartment over my head was a problem as it opens all the way down and bags fall easily out. The bag was easily 30 pounds and landed directly on my head. I suffered a concussion."

Ưu: "Pleasant and professional crew on a new and well kept plane. The food and entertainment options were both varied and enjoyable. Big plus was the care package on a transoceanic flight. It only cost them pennies but it was nice to have a mini toothbrush and toothpaste on a 14 hour trip."
Ưu: "When my main, very large over-weight suitcase was not able to be accepted, the Qatar Airways check-in representative was very clear and helpful, in explaining what to do (purchase inexpensive box + tape, re-pack some items from the suitcase-->create two pieces of baggage at correct weight)."
Ưu: "Their new fleet of A350 is modern, luxury, then top off with best crew services, this is one of the most comfortable flights I've ever had. Our flight was almost 14 hours, and it didn't feel too bad given the choices of movie and entertainment. The air crew were extra careful and caring about their passengers. They were also polite and very professional."
Khuyết điểm: "Since the flight was long, the lavatory became a bit dirty, full and messy by the end of the flight. Food was ok, although I think they had better menu from PHL to DOH. They ran out of sausage and omelette choice towards the end seatings."
The boarding process was uneventful and normal. The plane was on the smaller side and a tight fit. Most people had to plane side check their luggage. The pilots seemed pleasant. We waited about an hour from leaving the gate to actually taking off with no information from the crew as to what was taking longer than normal. The flight attendants were informative but aggressive about the mask policy and spoke on the PA system often and for long periods of time. The attitude of the flight crew about several issues made the passengers tense. We arrived about 30 minutes behind schedule but safely.

All 4 of my flights were first class, Joke of an offering, and each one sucked, I am American and I have flown over 800,000 miles and over 650 flights in 4 years, out of all these flights I've only flown US Carriers 12 times and I know that is a factual number. Jet Blue I will fly again, they act are a good and ran and they know how to take care of their guests AMERICAN AIRLINES JUST SUCKS Cathay pacific, Eva Air, Air Asia, Asiana, Korean Air, ANA, Thai Air ways and many more, I fly business class and every one of these airlines blows away these Sad Poorly ran US CARRIER'S, ,

Luckily we had time but this was a hassle given we were traveling with our 3 year old. The woman at the service desk quickly helped us print the passes but stated the mobile boarding passes tended to not scan. They should have told us to print the passes the first time we were at the counter if they knew the mobile passes tend to not work."

I have to say that's all the usual American Airlines incompetence. The cockpit crew always seem great though. I don't fly American unless I have to."

Well, they decided to move up my connector such that I had 25 minutes to run across 2 terminals. They only give you pretzels on the plane, and a single soda drink. They offer you "food bundles" but why do I want to pay $8 for a sandwich that costs $1 to make."

Traveling was to visit my mother who had cancer and I was sick so this made the trip even more distasteful."

A very nice BA agent met me as I deplaned at London Heathrow and ran with me thru Terminal 3. Helped me clear security with a priority card and ran to my gate with 2 minutes to spare. The women was really nice and if it was not for her I am sure I would not have made my connection. I don't know if there is anyway to track her down and thank her but I would like to do so. The flight attendants were OK but not excessively helpful."

The flight was scheduled for 7:30 pm. Air Canada sent me an email about noon, saying the flight was cancelled because they didn’t have a crew. They rebooked me on two United flights (San Francisco - Seattle, then Seattle-Vancouver) for the NEXT day. I immediately raced to SFO, because flying the next day wouldn’t work: I had an all-day medical research appointment that had been scheduled a year in advance. One AC agent said there were no flights available until the next day, and washed her hands of me by sending me to United, who sent me back to AC. My lucky break was that I was then helped by a great agent, Javier, who got me into the last seat on a United flight to Seattle, leaving in two hours. I then drove to Vancouver.

The hotel they put us up in was over 40 minutes away too. To add insult to injury, when we finally got to LAX, our luggage didn't make it and didn't get delivered until two days later. Overall very poor experience."

They mentioned that "this flight never existed" I had taken a day off of work to be there and I also had a meeting, however, my flight had been cancelled. Also, the costumer service representative mentioned that if I left th airport, they would not let me back in. They would do 2 security checks on me. After all of that! When I asked the check in lady at air Canada they mentioned that flight was not cancelled and not to look at the boards at the airport because they are incorrect! Horrible service. Horrible experience."

We had long layover on return flight in Toronto and airport and Air Canada personnel were not very helpful or accommodating. When we asked for a suggestion on where we could go in the airport to kill several hours (eating, drinking, watching TV), were were told by many that the airport is bad and we're given conflicting or poor answers. Intimately the advice given put us having to go thru security and Custims again (even though we already had) and that process was extremely disorganized and time consuming."
