Leg room is ok, not as roomy as the flight from SFO to South Korea. When we boarded there was a strong smell burning fumes from the A.C. (air condition) that trigger my asthma and landed in Cebu very ill with asthma and allergy."
Ưu: "Overnight flight to San Francisco, the crew is stellar. They are calm and friendly and speak English well. I liked the food options, I would recommend sticking with the American choices if you're not used to Korean food. The dinner was actually pretty good. Entertainment options are plenty, I watched 3 movies and a documentary. The flight maps and outside cameras are great, and it showed that the pilots were constantly trying to find smooth air while the first portion of the flight was bumpy. They found it and the rest of the flight was fairly smooth."

Delays in boarding and takoff
I liked the cleanliness of the flight, my check in bags got loaded into cargo for some reason and I had to wait over 30 mins for them to arrive becuase a thunderstorm hit and they people in charge didn’t want to drive the cargo section over in a thunderstorm.
The travel experience was good. Looking forward traveling again with Singapore Airlines.

Khuyết điểm: "During the same trip I discovered 2 different arrangements of the Business Class cabin on Singapore Airlines A350, SQ469 CMB-SIN, and SQ036 SIN-LAX. On the SQ036, I occupied seat 15 A (mono, aisle-window): I did not understand the reasoning behind this layout: Seat facing straight the front of the aircraft, but not enough space to stretch the legs, and limited height for the footrest, feet getting hurled against a ceiling very quickly, and also footrest only on one side = one foot. The deep cavity, that is probably meant to house the lie-flat disposition, is at a 45° angle with the general direction of the seat. I am 77 and not in any way a contortionist. I decided that the best course of action was to remain seated for the duration of the 14:30 hours, flight without extending my legs. Maybe the crew could have explained how the passenger is supposed to fit into that weird design, but I did not ask, afraid that the demonstration might reawaken chronic shoulder and hip pain. I would be glad to read (not test) how this configuration is supposed to convey the sense of comfort expected from a Business Class ticket. It did nothing of the kind for me."

Shocking really!!. When I had my coffee, my request for cream and sugar went ignored THREE times. Finally they grudgingly gave me only cream, rendering my coffee undrinkable. .....And the list goes on. Never ever will I travel on this horrid airline again!"

Someone met me at the end of my second flight to tell me I missed my connecting flight. With the adjusted flight Singapore gave me, there was no chance I would have made it. They did purchase a ticket for me on another airline to get to San Francisco in the end."

Fastidiously weighing and forcing mutiple repacks of carry-on bags even though well under total limit of checked & carry. (Doha agent told me dfferent rules appied for carrry on 2nd plane even though I asked specifically frm original agent who checked me thru to final dest--insisted I check main carry on even though there turned out to be plenty of overhead room on board). Poor coordination of checkin lines, security lanes, and flow of people -- all fixable with a little forethought, engineering, and better utilization of circulation space -- and much clearer communication!"

While sleeping in Business class, I was woken up twice by a rude crew member (Velma Ndubi). She even refused to tell me her name because she did not want me to complain. Her attitude ruined the flight for me."

Do not under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES take the window emergency exit seats. They charge you extra but don’t warn you that they are tiny. I am of relatively normal (althletic) build not overweight or unusually tall etc. They initially told me there were no other free seats so I ended up sat on the floor. Turns out there were free seats. They lied."

Khuyết điểm: "Emirates has applied EasyJet seat ramming techniques to its A380 business Class product. As a result even the spacious upper deck of an A380 feels cramped. The seat width in business Class is the same as economy so lying on your side to sleep is an impossibility for all but the diminutive or children. It’s hard to justify 4-5 times the economy fare to sit in such cramped ‘pile em high, sell em cheap’ seats. Breakfast served just before landing at LGW was honestly the most revolting meal I’ve ever been served onboard an aircraft, and I’ve flown Monarch. Less scrambled egg than puréed egg slops with gristly undercooked chicken sausages. Ryanair would blush at serving up such lousy fare. Emirates are paring back the ‘overheads’ in business Class and its starting to show. Cheapening the product (in every sense) might work for some but if I’m going to stump up thousands I think I’ll choose an airline that treats me less like self loading cargo in future."

As frequent travelers, I am aware rules change and am willing to comply. Being told my hand baggage had to be checked in and I cannot redistribute the weight or put things into my checking bags that were yet to be tagged was unreasonable. Started my trip on a negative note which was avoidable. I have found the training crew get and the ground staff get are disparate. As efficient as the onboard crew are, the ground staff in DXB and now NYC do not match up."

We were also promised a festive meal on our flight from JNB to Hong Kong on Christmas day but got a regular meal- very disappointing"

I was asked to pay $1200 to get on to the next flight (without any warning that my subsequent segments will be suspended) so I bought an one way to Dubai from NYC. Then my subsequent flights were all suspended and I had to buy a new set of flights for the remaining of the trip. I didn't get to take any of the flights I purchased through Kayak."

The boarding process at jfk was a nightmare. The gate staff were inappropriate. The plane was old and needs to be refurbished or replaced. There still is a middle seat in business class. The cabin crew appeared disinterestedor perhapstired. For the cost of the ticket qatar etihad or emirates airlines are a superior choice.
Very bumpy ride with lot of turbulence. However, the flight landed 25 minutes early, which shortened the time.

The first air company that will refuse to cabin board pets will be my only company to fly for the rest of my life. Sometimes, saying NO is the right answer."

Khuyết điểm: "But the second leg of my trip which was Lagos back to Houston was horrible, the Turkish Airlines employees at the Murtala Mohammed International airport Lagos were the worst ever, unprofessional, rude and lack basic knowledge of boarding. Decided to do their own thing rather than what the airline allows. It's almost like they lacked training or just don't want to learn. No accountability whatsoever as one of the employee said "it's not like it's gonna affect my job anyways". Poor poor terrible customer service, no courtesy, no etiquette. I can go on and on but ain't nobody got time for their negativity."

And on the plane, it was very uncomfortable because of so little leg room. To get out of the window seat to go to the toilet was as bad as it gets, because of row in front with reclined seats - only possible to scoot across in sitting position. Not easy....!"

Since she had no proper place to use the bathroom she needed to be sleeping to keep her body clock in order."

I have been traveling for 30 years and tried almost all airlines, but the Turkish Airline office at Cairo Airport ranked the poorest I have ever seen. The disorganization was as if they do not know what to do. First they said the plane arrived late, then they said there was a bird hitting the engine. The excuses were so laughable beyond belief."

Seats were so small and extremely uncomfortable. We had to wait for about 30' before we took off WITHOUT air conditioning!! That was miserable!!!! Last, I found HAIR in my food!!! Although, the flight we took from Atlanta to Instanbul was one of the best flights I've ever have taken. Mixed emotions.."

A huge accomplishment. They really put most of their competitors to shame."

Much as I loved the airline, I would only fly them again to Turkey or further east. It took me 22 hours door to door from Venice to Portland, Maine, when it shouldn't have been much more than half that. It's just too Far East to be a very practical option for visiting Western Europe from the US."
Ưu: "The food was delicious. I have never had better airplane food. The movies were super new and interesting. I did not have time in the 11 hours of flying to watch all the movies I wanted to. The flight was also incredibly smooth."
Khuyết điểm: "There were a few small things that could have been better (Which I'll mention), but the worst thing about the flight was the airport. Ataturk Airport is a mess. After the attempted coup, they really upped security, forcing all international flights to go through a second security screening after transferring from another airport. It's understandable but the line moved at a molasses-like speed when I had only 25 minutes to make my connecting flight. The security personnel were rude, as well. Also, when I went to make my connecting gate in Cairo, there was no one at the gate after the required boarding time (Because security had held us up), forcing some of us to board the plane without having anyone to show us onto the plane (Very scary). The flight boarding was chaotic, and no announcements were made about what we were supposed to do. Besides the lack of boarding gates, the only other serious complaint I had against Turkish Airlines (Because it really was great overall) was that the pilots and flight attendants were very hard to understand. I have taught ESL for the past 5 years, and I still had a hard time as an American understanding their English. Also, they frequently didn't understand or misunderstood questions that I would ask them. I've never had a hard time understanding flight attendants on an international flight, but I only understood about 20% of what anyone said over the loud speaker in the plane. And it's nice to be able to understand when the pilot says, "We are experiencing some turbulence and would like everyone to buckle their seatbelts until it passes." Two small things remain: 1. The bathroom trash cans were full on every flight (A small thing but makes everything feel "trashy"). 2. The flight attendants seemed unhappy, and they definitely seemed unhappy to be serving us. I can only assume they are that way because they aren't treated particularly well by their bosses."

Turkish Airlines refused to check our luggage to final destination, so we had to go out in Istanbul, take our luggage and do check in for SIA flight to Singapore. We were lucky that flight from Odessa arrived in time and we had one hour to do so."
Ưu: "We flew during the first week of the Atlanta to Istanbul flight on Turkish airlines. The plane is new, seats were comfortable and in flight service meals were tasty. Good selection of food and alcohol. Also, new movies and good selection of top rated movies to keep us entertained for this 10 hour or so flight."
Khuyết điểm: "Staff wasn't all that friendly. My husband and I fly all the time on domestic and international airlines ( American, Delta, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Korean Air, etc). The flight attendants just do not seem happy at all. They hustle around and speak to passengers in a very brisk and cold manner. Customer service training is warranted if they truly want to be a best in class global airline."
