They never explained what the issue was - it was a bit unsettling. Like, was it a meintamice issue? Should we be worried for our safety? Or was the aircraft simply late/delayed? Upon taxiing and take off the pilot finally said they were delayed from a previous flight and the plane needed to be “checked.” Would’ve like to know that an hour earlier when we first got kicked off the bus."

One thing leaving out of Term 3 at Singapore if you go thru Immegration and want to eat the food is not great all and stay away from Burger King and for the 3rd time got sick again! Worst Burger Jiont in the World ever! From no soda, the chicken nuggets tasting like fish, and the Burgees did not taste like burger very sickening! Thier are a rip-off to still wanted everyone to pay full price for the a meal and without no drink and pay extra for water and wanted people to pay for ice. Burger King Co. really need to take hard look at this Joint for very bad foods serving people and getting them sick and ripping people off with money. Seats are small and compact and the seat belt for the airline is small for a bigger person and not meaning over weight."

We had to queue an hour and a half for our boarding pass and check in, which makes it unbelievable how is that possible. We were there early since 815am, and only got our boarding around 10am. We nearly missed our flight as there were queue all around for security check. I guess this is the first and the last time i will travel with Vietnam Airlines."

We could not do online check in even we log in 24 hours before flight ,all seats shown available is individual. Being in the airport early does not help too. I will definitely not consider taking Vietnam airlines in future n will cautious friends to be aware of such service."

We will have to fetch the luggage from the luggage belt and check it in again at Chengdu airport from scratch. Also it was not possible to get the boarding pass for this flight online and select seats. This was brand new information for us. Nor China Southern, nor KLM nor Kayak did inform us about this at anytime. This never happened to us and if we knew in advance we would not have booked this connection (one in Amsterdam and one in Chengdu). Passengers need to be informed about this! Some people mentioned this is Chinese state policy, still not sure about this though. * Horrible transfer experience: In summary we were on ourselves, information was absent or just plain wrong by the ground staff at Chengdu airport. Which resultet in us queuing in 3 different lanes. Even in the first lane we queued, following official signs for transfer, the first staff told us we can queue here but then the lady at the counter (after 30min queueing) told us to go somewhere else instead. We had to wait in the rain to take a shuttle bus to another terminal. There we then queued at a China Southern counter, but it turned out to be incompatible with our ticket (booked with China Southern but operated by China Eastern - not communicated to us). Hence we queued yet again at a China Eastern counter which was eventually the correct one. Common to all this was the negative attitude of all staff which basically didn't care at all and were just incompetent. Note that this was not a language issue, as one of us is fluent in Chinese. * Once boarded the plane, which was 25% full, we were even disallowed to change seats due to "weight balance issue" (which seems to be just a joke given the weight of the airplane itself...). Note that the check-in agent explicitely told that because the plane is half-full we can just freely select an empty seat - yet another false information. * Conclusion: 1. Transparent information is they key for making a booking decision. 2. Do not fly via Chengdu airport. This will just ruin your trip. This airport is not ready to serve as international transfer spot."

Ưu: "Everything, from checking in, baggage handling almost personalized, boarding with no hassle at all, welcoming on board and to your seat. In flight services non stop, only ask what do you want and they will bring it to you. You will never hear a no from the nice crew."

Khuyết điểm: "Rude staff in spite of paying almost close to Cathay Pacific, journey date was forcefully changed just days before traveling with a layover time of 16hours instead of the original plan of 3 hours so was forced to stay overnight at a shitty hotel provided by China Eastern, Check in baggage not handled at Kunming by staff, airport hotel not inside airport, but 20mins away in some dirty part of Kunming, not even in the city. Taxi from airport to and from hotel had no space for checkin baggage and they had to be kept on our laps. No food provided at hotel. Very discomforting experience overall."

The food was abysmal and I got sick from it on the way to and from my destination - I would not recommend that ANYONE eat the food. The attendants were rude and did not have a grasp of English - lots of reaching over, using hand gestures instead of words. People were definitely smoking on the flight - at least three of the four flights I took and I'm not sure how the attendants didn't stop the smokers. These were also flights where there was a lot of uncovered coughing, hacking and uncovered sneezes in addition to unrelenting farting. Neighboring passengers did not practice personal space and constantly leaned over on myself and my friend."

Khuyết điểm: "Long, confusing boarding process. Always get bused to the airplane instead of direct walk way. Unfriendly attendants. The foods are terrible. Essentially no entertainment system. Just a boring mediocre airline that I will try my best to avoid in the future. By the way, transiting process in any Chinese airport is a nightmare."

Khuyết điểm: "The airline misplaced my luggage going to my destination and returning back to my home. They refused to deliver it to me when they found it and said I had to pay if I want it delivered. The flights always arrived late. The service on board was poor. They refused to fill your glass to the top to save on produce. You couldn't you cell phones even in flight mode. Poor overheard entertainment. Mostly just advertisements. No napkins given with "meal". Meal consisted of bread with inknow meat inside and the dries piece of cake ever. Sadly china eastern knows you no choice when you need to go to smaller cities in China so they know they don't need to provide good customer service."
