LAX to Doha segment was the best. However entertainment touch screen was bad on the flight from Doha to Trivandrum.
Food from USA to Doha is very bad. Please improve. Excellent crew, served unlimited snacks and drinks.
0nline Check in experience was worst so far. Impossible to change preassigned seats so that the three family members to sit together. Kept asking for payment. Finally a kind check in supervisor intervened to seat two the three together

flight was hour late and connection was tight. Not much help from ground crew to get through security and across the airport to the connecting flight.
The in flight services is great. However, the planes do not depart on time if they are departing from other Airports except in Doha. If you have a small window with your layover, be prepared that you might miss your connecting flight. My luggage was delayed because their departing flight from a non-Doha Airport was late to arrive. Their baggage department is beyond horrible, there is no number to call and have to use Whatsapp and a reply can take more than 3 hours. I had to track the luggage by going the Atlanta International Airport and wait 3 hours for a manager with Qatar airways to first board a flight and then to get my luggage, since they do not have anyone in baggage services. For this I will never fly Qatar Airways ever again.

Ưu: "This review is for return travel from ATL to MAA (Chennai, India) and back. Route: ATL-DOH: about 14.5 hrs; DOH-MAA: about 4.5 hrs; Likes: 1. Baggage check-in process was simple and easy. 2. Meal preferences was good - I'm a vegetarian and on the onward journey forgot to specify the meal preference but the crew had enough inventory to meat the requirements. 3. Every seat was provided with a small plastic pouch/packet/goodie bag that consisted of a eye mask (very thoughtful), pair of sock, toothpaste+brush (very thoughtful), hand cream. This was very useful and effective. 4. Entertainment - options were good and current."

Not sure if this is something to do with the browser (tried with Firefox, Opera) 2. It would have been good, as part of the online check-in, if the users reminded to specify the meal preferences, etc. I forgot to specify the meal preferences but thankfully the crew had enough of what I wanted. 3. Take a relook at the packaging of the toothpaste tube in the goodie bag. It was sealed in such a way that it was difficult to open it w/o a sharp object. This should have been easier. 4. Seats were the worst part - poor legroom. Worst, the seat cushion is the worst. I think it was just a fabric over a metal seat with minimalist of cushion. ATL to DOH leg was the worst (and the longest leg of the trip). Unless you have open seats next to you it would be a back breaking and painful trip. Seat comfort wise, I would rate Qatar as the worst. Luckily on the return leg (DOH-ATL) next two seats to mine was empty, so was able to stretch and sleep well. DOH-MAA or MAA-DOH seating was little better (think its a older plane; newer planes have worst seats) 5. The website was damn slow while accessing from overseas. Even in the US, at times the website hangs-up, freezes or spins often. 6. Food was ok -dinner and lunch but minimalistic; I didnt see any specific breakfast menu or any coffee served separately (was part of beverage option during lunch or dinner) 7. There was no alert, communication, notification, reminder of upcoming trip via email or text, etc. Many airlines does this very often but Qatar was totally silent on it (they did have my email during checkin). Not sure why."

It really slowed down meeting our ride and getting to customs. I think it also contributed o our flight being delayed since the flight before us had to do the same thing as they disembarked. I would be more concerned if my flight had a close connection if this is a standard practice. This was my first flight with Qatar. If the practice is standard I won't keep flying them."

This was the third time this airlines cancelled a flight on us for the same trip. The first two times were traveling from Miami to Delhi, we had to change our itinerary because they cancelled the flight, and we had to fly on different dates. This caused a series of hotel changes and cancellations costing us a lot of money. On the flight that we finally got from Doha to JFK, the man sitting next to me SMELLED LIFE THE FUNK OF 40,000 YEARS. It is unbearable. Thirteen hours of pungent body odor that even the flight attendants acknowledged was horrific. It was a miserable experience flying with this airline for what was to be the trip of a lifetime."
I had heard that Turkish Airlines was great, but after flying on it from Vancouver to Istanbul, I didn't see what was great about it. It wasn't bad, but definitely not great. Middle of the road...
Boarding by bus both time is tiring for me at age of73.getting down from plane is also tiring

For whatever reason, I couldn't actually check in for my flight and select seats prior to arriving at the airport. This happened with each ticket I purchased through every other agency except for orbitz.com. Not sure if that was a Turkish Airlines issue or a kayak.com issue, but it was very frustrating. When we arrived at the airport, we could no longer be seated together because everyone else had already checked in online and selected their seats for an overbooked flight. One of my group members was issued a standby ticket and almost didn't get on one of the flights that we paid a lot of money for. I would call this travel experience subpar, but I don't entirely blame Turkish Airlines for this."

Got off the plane from the flight from Barcelona to Istanbul, to connect to New York and first thing this woman insists that me and my friend should go to exit and baggage claim instead of international transfers. My friend had to get a visa at check out and all the trouble of trying to get back into the gate simply because of a STUPID AIRPORT STAFF who doesn't know what they are doing. I have had trouble before with airport staff who doesn't know what they are doing or give wrong directions. That is why will avoid flying with them to Europe."

I was told by the Turkish air agent to buy a new on way ticket from IST to NUE and use the origenal ticket from NUE to IAD and I did. The the nightmare begun when I try to get back to back to iAD. I was told my ticket was cancelled and have to buy new ticket. After 7 hrs exosting fight and inconvenience when they found out that I was not easily going to be hustled out $1100+ they finally reissued my tickets. During this time I witnessed how 10-20 customers old and young were being hustled for more money and some crying out of frustration. It was one of the worst experience I've had in my 45+yrs traveling experience."
