I was reluctantly fine with checking one of the bags, however not with being treated so carelessly and disrespectfully. I am not the kind of person that is ok with being put in that situation. As an airline I understand you need to have rules and guidelines to function, however sending me over to open my luggage on the floor in front of 1000's of other people is just humiliating!! If that is such a strict policy you really should have a space with some kind of privacy available and set up for customers to prepare to make things meet your standards. Then he changed my seat assignment for some reason and put me in an exit row..... not explaining that there is NO SPACE AT ALL for ANY carry on bags. That means no pills nearby that I needed, or headphones, magazines, iPads etc. I was really mad when I sat down and immediately asked to be moved. Luckily someone was willing to trade. Needed more to eat on a 14 hour flight also. Was really hungry."

They proceeded to check us in on their computer and insisted that we use their paperwork, not mine. What a farce. What a waste of paper and my time."

Two had disabilities and were.not accommodated in any way by Cathay Pacific (CP) while loading in the four areas of the plane. Those of us that we're physically able could not help those with mobility issues because of the proximity of the seating, I could not pre-check or request different seats on the CP website. I think that this was because of issues with the website, apparently due to IT system communication between American Airlines and Cathay Pacific.......on all six flights. On the transfer in San Francisco, Customs was closed when we arrived in San Francisco and we had to haul all of our baggage from one terminal to the other. There was no direction on how to handle this issue of Customs being closed while on the flight to San Francisco. I had to explain the issue of to the CP customer service crew in SF. The CP desk and they had never heard of it. American Airlines was equally poorly trained. I will also say that while at the CP customer service, there were three young adult males that we're not busy at the time and the watched us unload the baggage carts onto the scales and conveyor and then reloaded on to the carts to push to the AA terminal. We handled the bags two additional times because the CP staff did not know what to do and how to handle it. Other passengers were confused as well. I traveled internationally to Asia three times now on CP and the first two were excellent. In the past had had flown other carriers on out trips to asia. This experience on this flight was beyond bad. I had plan on several more trips to Asia the next three years, and I will say that at this point, I will not fly CP again. Something needs to change. A call to me is in order. I witnessed several gaps in CP systems and other issues with training the staff. Your survey did not specify the flight crew. Except for the loading issues and the lack of information about Customs being.closed at SF, the service was world class...what I had come to expect from CP"

There were two service representatives to take me on the golf cart from my gate in Terminal 1 when I landed to the bus departing from Terminal 2 to Terminal 4 where my connection was. It was unexpected, but saved a lot of stress based on the distance I had to travel within the airport to make the connecting flight."
Khuyết điểm: "They recently moved the Cathay Pacific flights to the new Terminal 4 in Changi in Singapore. The connecting distance was significant to get from the Terminal 1 gate to the bus leaving from Terminal 2 to get to Terminal 4. Changi is usually VERY efficient, but this was a real inconvenience to not have direct transport from T1 to T4. Also, the lines for Cathay are not properly sorted by First/Business and all status frequent flyers. There were no ropes or anything organizing the queue, so there were well over 150 people lined up for the priority boarding with no clear queue. At that point, there is no priority. Time to get better organized."

I especially felt sorry for some of the elderly people who were also in line all that time with noting to drink and no place to sit."

Ưu: "For the 15 hour flight from Hong Kong, they served two meals and put out snacks and drinks in the galleys in the interim. The dinner was pretty decent, and they gave a small bottle of water along with Hagen Daz ice cream. The seats reclined pretty well for economy class (the bottom of the seat shifted too, which was unexpected). Power outlets at every seat and an extensive entertainment system with movies from Eastern and Western culture."
