Khuyết điểm: "They have to take the prize for having the absolute slowest customer service in the world. When I booked my tickets, I emailed customer service to make sure I didn’t get a center seat. It took them two months - TWO MONTHS - to email me back, to tell me there was nothing they could do. I also had to be reticketed on my flight from Tokyo to Hanoi. It took them 3 1/2 hours to do this. I had to sit in the airport for 3 1/2 hours to get my ticket changed. Unbelievable. They could’ve chiseled it in stone faster than they issued it."

I was extremely tired and and left my phone completely on silent for 4 days, and within those 4 days they called and left me messages. Lucky I live here in Hawaii, can you imagine being a tourist and you lost your card? Excellent customer service."

Khuyết điểm: "I purchased a flight through one of the participating vendors on kayak for a major airline and accidentally chose the wrong departure date. I never received a confirmation email and therefore missed the flight. I understand and take full responsibility for booking the wrong departure date but when I tried to change it after missing the flight I was told that the airline policy was to charge a $300 change fee plus $30 for the third-party vendor. Because this was booked as a round-trip this vendor was attempting to charge me $330 plus the full price purchase of a new ticket as the "change fee". For some reason I was unable to explain to the person on the phone that it made no sense for me to pay full price for a ticket plus give that vendor an extra $330. I was forced to eat the entire round-trip ticket and of course save $330 by just hanging up and booking a new flight. I have course book a new flight directly with the airline. I could not even fly standby on the next flight with the airline because they told me they were unable to assist me in anyway because I booked through a third-party vendor. There were plenty of seats available on the next flight and I would've been able to fly standby had I purchased directly from the airline. Never again"

The warmth made it hard to sleep, which is a big problem on an overnight flight. JAL does not provide individual air vents to passengers seated where I was. I understand the reason for this, but I wish there was some way to get more comfortable. The seats were standard airline economy seats, roomy enough and with enough legroom for my sub-6-foot frame, but not the most comfortable."

The food was quite bad, normally I would choose the Japanese meal, however, both the Japanese and International options were poor. The staff seemed unorganized and did not follow a set protocol."
Ưu: "As my other flights with them, the crew is so friendly, the planes are nice and pretty good movie selection. Also nicely organized and they apologized profusely for the hour delay. I wish all of the American airline companies would learn from them! Great beverage service too, even when people are sleeping they quietly come around for us who are awake."

Ưu: "The crews on ANA (Flight Attendants) are the hardest working, most polite and service oriented of ANY carrier I can remember. When the cabin lights are ON, the crew is hustling to keep the passengers occupied and chewing. Free Beer, Wine and mixed drinks in Coach! Every Service - Snack, Drinks, Lunch, Dinner, Coffee/Tea, Second and Third rounds of drinks includes a cold towel to wipe your face and hands and most important, trash is collected promptly EVERY single time. WOW. I noticed that Flight Attendants take notes on sleeping passengers for every major meal service, and they take the time to revisit those customers when awake to check they might have wanted to be fed. I also noticed that the crew has special double sided tape to pickup crumbs and spills in the aisles so grime is not tracked into the carpet. Dont be surprized to see a flight attendant cruising the aisle after dinner with a soft cooler full of small vanilla Hagen Daz cups..."
Khuyết điểm: "We flew from Bangkok to Washington Dulles with a connection in Tokyo. Snow in Japan caused crew shifts to max out and ultimately a dramatic change in flight departure. (Guaranteeing a missed connection) This caused multiple downstream challenges. 1. Original flight was scheduled for 00:30. (Half Past Midnight), rescheduled flight was scheduled for 12:30 (Half Past Noon) For Americans unused to a 24 hour clock, this made emails From ANA very difficult to wrap your mind around. Was it a typo? What happens when you miss your connection? (Turns out weather delays do NOT result in accommodations or meals being provided) Rescheduled flight should have been for 1231 with (AM/PM in Parentheses) 2. For passengers who spent their vacation/trip near the equator, the prospect of spending the night in snowbound Tokyo was simply not addressed in the cancellation email. The better option was to stay in your original point of origin and make the connection in one day, but email has NO telephone number for passengers to call to make these arrangements. (We ended up calling a toll California telephone number to be sure we got an English speaking agent) 3. Many SE Asian departing cities have a crazy baggage weight policy that allows for Two bags of 25 Kilos each , but if you have a single bag that weights 32 Kilos, you must pay excess baggage. Although the policy may NOT be specific to ANA, there are hundreds of folks of all nationalities repacking suitcases on the floor of the airport, to try to meet the regulations. As a traveler I understand this, but as an ANA customer it makes no sense, especially when the ticket agent cannot charge the overage to a credit card at the ticket counter. Instead sending you to a different location then waiting for you to return with a receipt. Its a huge scam and ANA can do better communicating the rules to passengers via email or their web site. Nothing starts a long trip off worse than arguments over arcane rules. 4. Changing a return flight arrangement as a result of weather happens at the last moment, but seat assignments apparently could not keep up. I would rather NOT fly than face a center seat in coach for 14 hours. I cannot explain what happened, but repeated attempts at advance check in showed NO assigned seats available, the ticket and gate agents could not improve on this, but BOTH flights ended up having empty seats and in the end we stressed for nothing. ANA must be able to do better, improving their IT systems to make advance seat assignments possible no matter how challenging the problem of "equipment" and other changes in the face of a canceled flight."

The entertainment system is an easy to use touch screen with great options from Hollywood and other movie sources."

There should be double the movies and music offered given that you can go through all of the offerings in one or two legs of a trip. I had four. BBC news didn't work on any leg of the trip and the Japanese news was in Japanese only, no English."

When the turbulence died down, the flight attendants did not bother to complete the food service for snacks or drinks ordered. I had to get up and ask twice. They were not present much at all in BUSINESS CLASS. So that's why I rated the experience as poor. The international food choices are poor. They do not taste good. I think I have to stop flying ANA. We had a long layover, 12 hours, and they said we didn't have rights for anything. So we went to the city on our one because we didn't want to go on organized tour that we need to pay extra money"

They put extra care for kids and babies and all of kids get gift bag with toys, chocolate etc. which makes everyone happy Especially kids. I personally like to watch new release movies and enjoyed to pass my flight time."

Khuyết điểm: "Check in staff and customer service reps were unprofessional and unhelpful. We had an 8 hour layover on both legs, no access to the lounge or a hotel was provided. I explained we were on our way to our wedding and it would be nice to have some rest. They were rude with the way they told us no, they even suggested we sleep on the floor of the airport. We ended up paying for the lounge, but then so did about 1000 other people, there was no room for us to sit together. My wife's allergy free meal wasn't provided on the first flight. We had to speak to about 5 people to get a meal ticket at the airport and they were very reluctant to give us one. I told them she was hungry and needed to eat. They told us we could take the meal we got with the ticket on board, when we went to use the ticket we had no choice in meal, were given a coke at 6am and weren't allowed to heat up our meal or take it on board. In summary, all the cabin crew on all 4 flights were excellent. Staff at Doha airport were incredibly poor."

I couldn’t even go to the bathroom. All my flights on Asiana Airlines from the US to Manila and vice versa were screwed up!"

With such long flights you would think that an airline would want even economy to be somewhat comfortable sitting for 14hrs or more"

There was a teenage girl seated next to me and she requested the crew for some water and the hostess told her to wait till they served drinks which she said will take 5 mins. It was after 18 mins that the girl next to me finally got water. Seriously, you can't afford to give a glass of water , it's not like she was asking for coffee or some soft drink, its water ...and when we flew Korean and EVA airlines, they had a small bottle of water available on the seat when we boarded. Then my next row family asked for coffee and after a few minutes the fellow passengers wife decided to have some tea. So the husband called in the hostess and the hostess very rudely said , now you want both coffee and team , next time please let me know at the same time. Then when they served me my special meal, there was no butter in the meal tray, so I patiently waited for them to serve others and when they reached my row, I very nicely asked if I may have some butter...the hostess said, we don't have any butter. I was like...speechless. No butter, no water...and Cathay is a top class airline , HOW is it possible ? And the other crew was ok, this was one crew member a female and her name started from J , don't remember her full name. She was the laziest ever crew member I have ever seen and I am pretty sure she did not like her job. Cathay did not provide any tooth brush or mouth wash. No socks, slippers , eye patch...nothing. While flying to HKG from Toronto, I did not opt for special meal and the meal was just HORRIBLE. It was some beef and I couldn't even cut it with a knife. I think Korean Air is more or less the same as Cathay but in my opinion Korean is much better than Cathay. Cathay is only good for Business/First class. I seriously recommend EVA airlines and if not then Korean but if you are flying economy then stay away from Cathay."
