For a 12 hour flight with seats that don't recline and nothing the on-board staff could do about the ticket counter's negligence and bad faith other than apologize. Seated upright for an overnight flight (for the second time on the same trip) for 12 hours. Not a pleasant experience. Had a feeling ANA would be bush league. This trip confirmed those suspicions. It wasn't the crew's fault (though they, unfortunately bore the brunt of my displeasure) so much as the counter's fault, but airlines charging what they are shouldn't be putting passengers or crew in this position. The ticket counter folks literally mislead us. They specifically told us that these were not emergency row seats and that we would have reclining seats and seatback displays in front of us like everyone else. The entire reason I asked is because we got stuck in the last row on the way in with seats that don't recline, which blows for a 12 hour red-eye flight. Instead we got seats that did not recline and a fold out screen that came from the right-hand arm rest. Not the end of the world if one had no choice, but certainly not what I paid for and certainly not what the ticketing counter people stated we were getting (under specific inquiry about the very point). The ticketing counter in particular seems to be skeevy, at best. To the detriment of their own crew, who is left apologizing for things they can do nothing about. As stated, this is a bush league international carrier. Avoid unless you love sleepless nights crossing the international dateline..."

People queue up, then they swivel the pole round so I'm in the wrong queue now. Try to move, lose place in queue, they swivel it back the way it was... Good airline but boarding especially for domestic is disorganised with poor signage etc."

We had to use the safety manuals to fan ourselves. We eventually left late and got to Lagos one and half hours we were meant to get there. Lastly not all the luggage arrived. Two days into my arrival and I am yet to get all my luggage. It was truly a horrible experience which was echoed by fellow passengers."

It would have been nice if some would ask me before falling asleep if I wanted to be roused for snacks and desserts. After being on back to back flights of more than 10 hours each it would be considerate for the crew to be aware of my length of travel and to make sure they don't assume my resting my eyes is the same as me being asleep. Even when I was awake it appeared I was being overlooked, ignored and left out of complimentary services I saw other receiving....my bad for not asking to be noticed."

Ưu: "there were problems getting the tickets issued in Rome. the worker at checkin kept us for 20 minutes without telling us what was going on. the flight left the gate on time, but then we sat for an hr before leaving. no information was given as to why the flight attendants were rude. after landing we sat for an hr on the runway waiting for a gate to be available."

Avianca had a flight that night to our destination but they refused to find space for us, or to issue some type of refund or voucher for our lost time and money."

Only one cafe to wait in. Substitute breakfast served was underwhelming. Plane was incredibly dated with life vests strewn about/not tucked away. Upon deboarding, incredibly unclear that we had to completely exit and go back through security, meaning we had no time between flights for the restroom or to buy water."

There was a flight delay out of Iquitos due to fog, causing us to miss our next connection in Lima to Cusco but the staff in Iquitos made sure we got on the next plane with new tickets and luggage transferred to the right plane. Naturally, we were disappointed with several hours of delay due to safety but were pleased with the service in resolving our concerns. There was no entertainment available on this trip ever through there was a screen for each seat."

As a token of apology, they offered me a free lunch from one of the cafes in the Lima airport. I got to the cafe, and I was able to pick between one of two boring sandwiches. I was more in the mood for a different one that was one nuevo sol more, but apparently that was not allowed with my coupon. So essentially, I got to spend eight hours in the airport for a measly sandwich that wasn't very good. And then my return flight from Cusco to Lima was delayed by over an hour, which was also not ideal (although nowhere near as bad as the original situation)."

The Chicago departure was half an hour late because the pilot wasn’t checked in yet. It is very frustrating when I run through Chicago airport from B to E"

I called united, the booking agency and the other airline without getting any changes."

They refused to let it slide and when we asked how much it would be if we left it they said it would cost us $100 for an oversized bag. We already paid the $25 so it makes no sense for it to cost $100 more. They were completely unreasonable and not helpful. Not to mention the flight was an hour late. Our flight on the way out was completely cancelled all together and no one bothered to tell either of us. Then they rerouted us on completely different flights! We had to basically throw a fit to get on the same flight, which ended up being 8 hours AFTER our original flight was supposed to leave. The entire experience was a disaster and I will never fly united again."

This massive overbooking on the part of the airlines, caused me to miss my connecting flight and my connecting train, and miss a whole day of my costly vacation. On top of this, we had to pay for changes to the connecting train (a cost we weren't expecting to incur.) This flight in the end has turned out to be one of the most costly and uncomfortable flying experiences that I've ever had. Our original was a direct flight from MUC to ORD at noon, we had fly to FRT first at 10am. It would be a very mess if we checked in at airport next day. Who would be responsible for the situation if the trip was operated by two airlines like UA and Lufthansa? Certainly not customers. Since the change, we had to cancel some our plan and spent three more hours on the return trip."

When I asked the boarding rep at the gate for an aisle seat, she lied and said there were none left but when I looked online, there were more than 25 available. This flight was awful, uncomfortable, the plane smelled like a geriatric center and was dirty."
