Ưu: "JAL lounge at Haneda was the best I've ever been in. The Business Class configuration is terrific -- as private as can be on an airplane, without going First. And the JAL staff, on the ground as well as in the air, are Grade A diplomats, counselors, and -- in a word -- professionals. Which is sorely lacking in US air carriers, who don't seem to understand that air travel is a service industry, and to excel in a service industry, PEOPLE are most important to the customers. Specifically, having enough people: US airline employees are well-trained professionals too, but "corporate" consistently under-hires/deploys, which leaves employees juggling far too much at once, which degrades the service experience for the customer. Yeah, I get "the bottom line," but service industry customers will always go to businesses that offer better service. Ok, rant over. JAL is tops."

Ưu: "This was my first flight on JAL. Their customer service was especially good for English speakers. The food on the plane was good, but geared toward the Japanese customer. I must say that it was tasty, but unaccustomed to my palate"

Ưu: "There was a huge amount of new and classic movies to chose from to pass the time. The crew was friendly and professional. The food was decent. I like the variety of food choices and some of the dishes were delicious (salmon and rice). The seats are pretty comfortable. They aren't great for sleeping in, but the flight was decently quiet and dark for some time. I would recommend bringing a pair of earplugs and a neck pillow."

Khuyết điểm: "We were informed our flight was not to land in Haneda but at Narita. We specifically picked that flight pattern because of the ease of traveling from Hawaii to Haneda to Naha. We wouldn't have to drag two large suitcases and a rollaboard after checking out of customs and immigration very far. Same airport to land and depart. Well the arrival airport was changed to Narita $32.00 per person for Airport Limobus to Haneda. We get off at Haneda and are informed we cannot stay there and wait at the domestic airport for our 6:25 am flight to Naha. We had to load all 6 pieces of luggage on the shuttle bus and transfer to the international terminal because they close the domestic terminal at midnight. There was no hotel accommodations at the domestic airport as the hotel was booked two months in advance!!! We had to wait at the international airport terminal till 4:30 am when we then transferred back to the domestic terminal with our 6 pieces of luggage. Tell me how happy you'd be!!!"
Ưu: "Excellent service by JAL check-in people and the flight crew. Also, for a standard economy seat, I found the seat spacing and resulting legroom was generous - and I'm 6 ft. tall."

Television screens and headphones in economy were easy to use and reproduced video and audio content well. Overhead storage space was adequate, even for an almost fully-booked flight whose passengers relied upon it very heavily."
Khuyết điểm: "One of my vegetarian meals (the larger of the two) wasn't vegetarian. This was astonishing -- a first for me in more than twenty years of flights across the Pacific. Not once have I had a vegetarian meal that included chicken, but that is just what was served to me on this flight; I was obliged to spit it out, and to wash my mouth afterwards. The selection of films offered was demoralizingly poor, and the seatback pockets afforded even less storage space than usual."

Nothing can the counter do till i've to call kayak/flight network. One hour conversation from malaysia to canada. What a wast & replace me with air china. Stupid kayak & flight network."

Even if the sun is bright, you can still look out and enjoy the view. I love this feature of the 787 and am always a little disappointed when I'm back in any other aircraft."

Ưu: "I liked the plane! Beautiful and new, the Boeing 787 Dreamliner was a pleasure to ride in. Staff was as pleasant and helpful as they always are on ANA and despite the long delay due to an engine repair, the ANA staff conducted themselves incredibly professionally."
Khuyết điểm: "It wasn't such a bad experience for me but the plane did have a mechanical failure and the part was not in stock in Cambodia so had to be flown in. That resulted in a 24 hour delay. The ANA staff were excellent and did take care of us well."

The turbulence announcement was made once in english and japanese by the auto-plane service followed by the crew announcing it again in both English and Japanese. The same was done with the duty free. The plane pressure also felt very strong and cause discomfort for the wife. The movie selection was solid (but badly organized) and the TV show selection wasn't terrible. It should all be better. Come on ANA! Contact me for recommendations."

Ưu: "Movie Selection was awesome on the Vancouver-Narita trip. I thought I was gonna miss the my last leg of the trip to Okinawa on a codeshare with ANA. As the Vancouver leg arrived a bit late. But the ANA staff found me and told me I had a later flight because of a 20 minute delay! It was awesome service, they also gave me a ride directly to Haneda Airport as that was where the later flight was."

Rating low to the crew mainly because of the ground staff as they were not very communicative to begin with about the explanation for our delay. Only when the passengers got a bit more vocal about wanting explanations, they started giving us a bit more information. All estimated times given for boarding the flight were incorrect by a big margin! Seemed more like they were giving shorter wait time for boarding just to please the passengers, where as they were well aware of how long the wait would be."

My husband and daughter were in First Class. The service was below average to say the least - more training required from check in to on board - (in Sydney the staff on the ground went above and beyond) In Singapore it was very fake and contained no sincerity. The lounge itself was also ordinary compared to others, no Amenity kits or PJs in business class - even Virgin Australia has that! I was so excited to be travelling Singapore again given past experiences but now Im not sure I will want to fly them again."
