Ưu: "The Denpasar Airport had been closed for days due to Ash/Volcano Agung, so luckily our Flight departed as planned, and on time. Was easily re-assigned a new seat (middle to aisle) at the gate. The staff was attentive and courteous."

We were in Thailand when Bali's Mount Agung erupted and called Cathay Pacific requesting our fees be waived to change our return flight from Denpasar, Hong Kong, Newark to Bangkok-Hong Kong-Newark. Cathay Pacific said the fee to change our flight is $350, and plus the difference in the new ticket price. That option was very expensive. We were very stressed about returning to Bali due to the High Alert warnings. The Denpasar Airport was closed for days -- and our request was not unreasonable."

However I don't see why we would have to ask as we booked a child's seat and you have to provide the age which she is 4. When onboard from SYD/HKG and HKG/LONDON, NO meal was available for our child except for what everyone else was eating. She is anaphylaxis to shellfish, she was given shrimp!!!!! I am sure if she was given a child's meal she would not have got this. We were then told we have to advise the airline 12 hours before we fly that we want a child's meal. I am sorry but when travelling we should not have to do this and nor have we ever had to do it on any other airline. Poor poor poor!!!!"

Cathay has no agent in airport to speak with...must communicate through local airport personnel, who have no information, nor authority to help. Cathay wouldn't track down bag or deliver in readonable amount of time, so we had to go back next day at midnight when nxt plane arrived + hope bags were on it. We were shocked as crew was so organized getting us (people) to connecting flight in Hong Kong. Woman met us at gate and personally led us to connection gate. Only a few gates down in same terminal. In case you're curious: not that we expect Michelin star dining, but the food is dismal. Some of the worst airline food ever. It's like pure sodium + tastes very much like the aluminum can it surely came out of."

Nice airport. The screens of my row were not working so they restarted all screens a few times. While the screens of my row worked, other rows were not working. Surprisingly no one fixed or complaint as the screens of other rows kept off from the start to the end of the flight. I felt so sorry for others."

I will absolutely be flying with them again."

Our flight was delayed because they couldn't board everyone in time. Premium economy is pretty good- seats are large. Economy is a zoo. Don't think I'll be travelling with China Airlines again soon."

From friction burns on the knees from the seat directly in front of you, to virtually hosting your front neighbor's head in your lap when they recline. And I'm all of 5'8"! Even though easily +90% of the passengers were Americans, Australians, New Zealanders and Europeans, and that the flight was between 2 English speaking countries, we were addressed in Mandarin Chinese. Reminds me a bit of Air Canada with their often French bias."

Khuyết điểm: "Announcement at gate to board bus was not delivered, had to look up and see passengers boarding bus to take to tarmac for boarding. Bus then stopped at plane for 10 minutes seemingly waiting for 1st class bus to arrive and board first as they came and were unloaded right away."
Ưu: "Airplane food is usually drab & this fish in chili sauce was really tasty. Pleasant crew"

Khuyết điểm: "Computer changed our Premium Economy seat allocation, separating us but not told until boarding. Then it was a hassle while they rearranged other people on board and tried to tell us it was caused by us checking in late whereas we'd been among the first."
Khuyết điểm: "Sell me ticket hat no use. 17 hours layover while Japan not allow overnight layover and kick me out . I have to spend 1700 more to get another ticket to go us for school! I demand my money back"
Khuyết điểm: "delay flight from Phu quoc to Saigon from 12h to 18h (more than 6 hours ) . I must cancel that flight for safe and stay one more night and switch to the soonest flight next morning"
Ưu: "Vietnam Airlines has good leg room on both international and domestic flights. Blankets and pillows were preplaced on seats, as were headphones in the seat pockets. Lunch and one round of snacks were served. Beverages were offered a few times."
Khuyết điểm: "Cabin was inconsistently cooled. The rear was cold while the front was hot. Some passengers complained about being hot, but flight attendant only pointed out the overhead gasper vents, which were obviously open but did little to help the sweating and general discomfort. No personal entertainment system, only drop down screens. Food was average."

Ưu: "Was able to change seat to exit row; not crowded; A350 is a really nice plane. Vietnam Airlines has amazingly friendly and helpful crew, extremely pleasant. Catering from Japan is edible. Delta Platinum gives you lounge access in Osaka and HCMC."
Khuyết điểm: "A/V system was on the fritz for the whole plane; was not activated until 45 minutes into the flight and then kept cutting out for all passengers. I just gave up and slept."
Ưu: "Vietnan Ailrlines is the best and most reliable in-country operator. However, that isn't saying much. Overall, the company, its equipment, and employees are the most professional."
Ưu: "Check in was easy. Able to check in baggage easily. Staff was kind"
Ưu: "Overall my experience was good. Pros: seat are comfortable. The jet seemed more spacious than ANA airlines. Cons: workers know little English compared to ANA from checking in to the flight attendants. I think this was the most disappointing because the language barrier was frustrating when needing help going the right direction and having questions about checking in. The food was OK. The fruit tasted rotten and the food didn't seem as fresh either. The customer service was also mediocre. When I was on ANA airlines all the staff were very helpful and they seemed statisfied with their jobs. When I travel to ASIA again I will try and avoid Vietnam airlines."

Ưu: "The Air France business lounge that Vietnam Airlines use in CDG Airport was excellent. Lots of space a good selection of food. The airline staff where all wonderful and food on the plane was delicious. I like the sleeping pods. Very private and comfortable."

Ưu: "Notifying customers of why flight was holding for over an hour in the air (due to heavy rain)."
