Purchased additional baggage and the flight was canceled due to covid. When they rebooked us they didn’t carry over the extra baggage. They wanted to charge 3x the original ticket price for “added” weight… 6000 bhat for an additional 15kilo (which would of been easily covered by what we originally booked) took nearly 2 hours to work out and they only let us check in minutes before our flight boarded. Very unhappy.

They wouldn't allow you to use them even in airplane mode for some reason, despite most other airlines worldwide allowing airplane mode throughout the entire flight."

When I booked, I must have put the ticket under Susie instead of Susanne and despite showing her my passport she said I was going to be charged 800 baht to fix my name. It took two separate supervisors for them to realize that the passport number I booked with was in fact the same passport number I was presenting to them. I also wanted to check a piece of luggage and had to go to a different counter, waiting on another line to pay for the luggage. Not one person explained that upon landing in Bangkok for my layover that I would need to take my luggage off of the carousel and then repeat the process I did at the Chiang Mai Airport. It baffles me that they have no organization because prior to getting up to the counter, 4 people were clearly unhappy with the customer service. I would not recommend this airline company to anyone, in fact I would advise that people wouldn’t use it."

Then once we get into a building we have to walk up a flight of stairs with our suit cases. I was traveling with my 72 year old mother. Not impressed. It's one thing to delay flights it's another to make your passengers go through hoops to get to their destination."

The personal entertainment console worked perfectly with clear picture and sound, though the free headphones were uncomfortable. Boarding crew allowed us to cut in line since we had a 2 year old. Very appreciative for that, and appreciative for their sternness with those customers who were trying to slip in in front of us."

I think this was the most disappointing because the language barrier was frustrating when needing help going the right direction and having questions about checking in. The food was OK. The fruit tasted rotten and the food didn't seem as fresh either. The customer service was also mediocre. When I was on ANA airlines all the staff were very helpful and they seemed statisfied with their jobs. When I travel to ASIA again I will try and avoid Vietnam airlines."

Yet, at the airport and on the aircraft, the only explanation given was the overplayed refrain "Due to late arrival of the aircraft..." PLEASE, stop kidding us. Bad management is not the same as "late arrival". At 3 AM everybody was on board. No other arriving or departing aircraft in that CGK airport at that ungodly time. The pilot mumbled something about loading cargo. We sat an extra 50 minutes before taking off. This airplane has no screen of any kind in Economy. There were posters and a booklet describing the possibilities of entertainment. Again, who is kidding whom? Before going bankrupt, the old Philippines Air Lines used the acronym P.A.L. And everyone read: "Planes Always Late". The acronym is gone, but the delays are back, for sure. I am sorry that I did not go on a low cost flight."

It's not difficult to get blankets from the overhead bin and with the possibility of other passengers asking, it's part of your job. A male crew member was attentive to the passenger after he immediately recognized the passenger's request walking through the aisle. This was from MNL to NRT. Also on one of the connecting flights (could have been same as above), the flight departed late because they allowed another passenger through that wasn't suppose to be on that flight on to the plane. They need to have better boarding pass scanners and /or the employees should pay better attention to that main detail. Air was really dry in the cabin, suggestion is to add some kind of humidifier in the plane to decrease dryness to the nose."

Flight attendees handed out the wrong immigration form to entire plane for China instead of Hong Kong. We Filled them out not knowing they were different. Waited online at immigration for 40 minutes only To be told we were given the wrong forms. Everyone had to go to the back of the line and wait again. They didn’t even provide free water on the plane. Terrible experience. Shouldn’t be allowed to advertise misleading prices on Kayak."

Khuyết điểm: "The company knew that there were going to be a delay and gave everyone notices 3 days before due to machanical issues (which wasn't true becaused I overheard the captain talking about a scheduling problem that the company knew for days and didn't fix while we waited for transportation). My group was given a 2hr delay notice by email. Once we got to the airport and checked in the plane was further delayed. It was the last flight of the day. What was originally 7pm flight turned in a 1230am flight, 5.5HR delay. Arrived into Siem Reap airport at 130am, which was pretty much closed. Hotel tax and regular taxi/tuktuk didn't come out at this time. We were stranded at airport and was at the mercy of overpriced hustlers who charged 3x the normal price for a riding into town. They charged $10/person and put as many people into a car/van as possible. Are vanpool had 9 people, $90 for the van in total. The airline should have arranged transportation for us to correct the situation. The hustlers didn't give receipt, this we cannot make any claims. VERY DISAPPOINTED AT CAMBODIA AIRLINES!!!!!!!!!"

The airline drove another group for a different flight to their gate but the 14 passengers on our connecting flight were left on our own to run to the gate, only to watch the plane pulling away as we ran up. The airline service desk was unapologetic and did very little to help. Since my son and I had already used our one time entry visa into Vietnam, we were not able to join the rest of the group at a local hotel. We instead had to purchase additional tickets for a 1am red-eye. Our wait in the area outside passport control had no food or water and even though we asked they would not bring us anything to eat during the 7 hours we had to wait to get our boarding passes for the red eye."
Ưu: "There's nothing I like about this ANGKOR AIR. You disgrace Cambodia and Cambodian people by using their names and provided a horrible service and poor plane qualities. I was scared once I had boarded. The condition of the plane is poor. Overhead bends were duct tape to stop from open during flight. The list goes on. Thank God it was a short flight."

We're treated like second class citizens 4. It rained when we arrived in Ho Chi Minh City from phnom Penh. We walked in the rain to get on the transporting bus. There's a guy with one umbrella. But he used to covered himself. With these kind of treatments and attitudes, one day you will get beat by your competitors. I know you are arrogant right now. But as Vietnam continues to thrives in tourism. There will be better airlines coming and will provide better services. Even the airport in Ho Chi Minh City is horrible. Cambodia airport have amazing lounge and services. I love Vietnam. But your AIRLINES ruined the experience."

Khuyết điểm: "Well, the fact that the plane didn't show up at the airport was a problem...then they were unwilling to give me an alternative route which caused me to miss my scheduled meetings. When an attempt was made to contact the Vietnam Airlines office in the USA NO ONE ever picked up the phone! At this time I'm unclear whether or not my refund is being processed. I ended up having to book a totally different ticket with another airlines (of course). First and last time I will ever attempt to fly with Vietnam Airlines."
Ưu: "Vietnam airline is a good airline, reliable, mostly on time. Wet towel and a bottle of water are provided for short flight. Flight attendants were courteous and helpful."

Khuyết điểm: "Incompetent ground staff in Siem Reap, who barely spoke English and no listening or problem solving skills. They wrongly denied boarding to one of the passengers, claiming he needed a visa that he did not need (as confirmed by Vietnam Airlines transit counter later in Ho Chi Minh city and by the Vietnamese Consulate. This resulted in us buying a brand new ticket for later time and applying for a visa, given there was no ground staff from Vietnam airlines who could help."

I hadn't checked my email the previous evening (my error) so still went to the airport really early. There was no one to confirm the 4:30 wouldn't end up cancelled too, so we booked with another carrier."

Khuyết điểm: "Luggage check-in weighs luggage 22 kilos more than its actual weight and I was asked to pay almost RM650 ~ ($170), when I was asked to recheck they had to pull my luggage back and that took almost 40 minutes to later know that they made a huge mistake! 20 minutes to the boarding time I got confirmation that my luggage weights are correct and given a boarding pass to gate P11. walked to gate P11 and saw no one there, and there were no signs of what was happening, I checked Kayak app then I noticed that they changed the gate to L10 which is a totally different building ( 16 minutes before gate closure ), I had to run the whole airport to go to gate L10. not to mention that flight was delayed by a good 1 hour!"

I was disgusted. Air Asia should make their baggage fees more visible and honest so when a customer books a flight, they can take those fees in to consideration. Space inside the cabin is very limited. For tall people it is difficult to spread legs as the knees touch the seat in front. Luggage was missing when I arrived at my destination without any compensation to buy first necessity articles."

Chaotic boarding by passengers crawling all over one another reminds one of the clambering patrons at popular night markets. Considerable flutter and vibration in port side main flap. Excessive blow by of bleed air into cabin at start up (heavy jet fuel odor inside). Somewhat sketchy landing...but not too bad considering heavy crosswind combined with good old fashioned seat of the pants flying (no computer aided landing assists here). All in all a decent flight for around these parts I guess...I mean at least the thing wasn't brush painted with house paint...been there before."

However very little assistance was given to us once back in KUL while waiting for new flight. Zero compensation given, not even a free soda on the new flight! Hey Air Asia, its called a voucher! Never did get the meals we had paid for in advance when booking. Will avoid this cheap skate airline in the future."
