Khuyết điểm: "They did not have a vegetarian option available to me on board. They should have offered bottled water for a a flight this long to avoid dehydration. Also my entertainment system was faulty. It didn’t offer a wide selection of movies and halfway through the flight or completely shut down. I couldn’t even listen to music or track the flight. Staff also had difficulty understanding my English so I gave up on communication."

Crumbs were left on floor from previous flight. Cleaning was not thorough. Delayed flight - no explanation as to why, but plane apparently made up time in the air because arrival time was the same. Food was sub-par. Is rice mixed with noodles a thing?"

Khuyết điểm: "1. Boarding and un-boarding should be by bridge, especially in sub-freezing weather! What is China Southern's problem with this? Every boarding/unboarding has always been by bus, and we had to be exposed to the elements. Since we were traveling between two warm places, we were not prepared to be out in freezing weather. 2. Layover in CAN was terrible: It was too long (10 hours); Guangzhou Baiyun had NO HEAT and so was very cold, too few charging stations, and very spotty wi-fi. I could not use my credit card in at least one place. At a McDonalds (probably a knock-off actually), the cashier was quite rude, allowing native Chinese customers to cut in line in front of me and unapologetic with their "no-credit-cards" policy. Customer service personnel need better training in international relations."

Khuyết điểm: "The food was something you can get on the average street corner in Shanghai for about 1.00 USD. I understand costs are important, but a steamed piece of bread and a foil packet of pickled vegetables is a bit of a stretch. The gate agents were less than helpful. I usually get an upgrade with my Delta status on partner airlines. Nope, not on this flight. I requested it and they said it is not possible on China Southern. I showed them my boarding pass from less than 48 hrs before on the same airline... they looked bewildered. Boarding was the usual "every man for himself". Zones? Classes? Awards members? Not in Shenzhen..."
Ưu: "I flew China Southern from Shenyang to Shanghai 4 days after rupturing my Achilles tendon. There service was fantastic, getting me wheelchairs through both airports, changing my seat to give my leg more room, giving me special attention during the flight to make sure I was comfortable. Their service for me was outstanding and caring in every way. 10+ from me. Thank you China Southern!"

Providing any amount of beverages we asked for as well as adjusting cabin temperature and providing with extra blankets. Nice selection on entertainment system with no hassles to make It work. Always smiling. Constantly cleaning up trash and the bathrooms. One of my most enjoyable long distant flights ever!"

Ưu: "I liked the extra leg room that I received with the upgraded seat due to my Skymiles affiliation. The crew far exceeded any American airliner. Food was good. Wasn't my favorite but it was a good meal considering what you would receive on other Airliners."

Khuyết điểm: "On Sep 14th, I paid on your websites with the confirmation of three airline tickets from Chengdu China to Los Angeles. All the information I provide for each passengers are correct. However, due to the fact that you missed up three of the passengers information, they couldn't check in yesterday. The whole fight to LA was missed. As a result, we had to pay very high price to buy new tickets for the next available fight in order to complete the trip. I'v made four phone calls with your agent, with all records made. 1) The 1st agent confirmed that the information I provided were all correct for each passengers. So she believed there was nothing wrong and did nothing to help. 2) The 2nd agent realized the information were mixed up. But it was too late to let them check in. 3) The 3rd agent confirmed that the issue were caused by your system. He said only the supervisor could deal with this matter. He gave me a number which is not valid. 4) Finally, the 4th agent said you would contact me. No response by now. Still waiting for the response. Very disappointed after all."
Khuyết điểm: "On a 2:20hr flight they start movie 20-30 minutes after takeoff and turn off at top of descent (22 mins before landing) Why consistently show 2hr (avg) length movies (in the case X-Men Apocalypse), thus on last 3 flights on this route, no movie has been finished. Either start earlier/end later or pick Videos that fit in the time window they offer for viewing"

I will avoid flying MH economy again. Malindo, a low-cost flying the same routes (SGN-KUL and KUL-CMB) I often fly, has a much better level of service than MH, supposedly a full service airline."

Khuyết điểm: "I sit in 2K of A350-900. Though it is known as a throne seat, there is an error on the installation of this seat. The foot rest that comes up and supposedly joined with the ottoman to make up the flat bed is too long so this seat never can actually go to full 180 degree mode."

Khuyết điểm: "Pudong airport ground stuff requested for Singapore identity card; soft copy was presented, both identity and re-entry permit issued by Singapore government. They were not clear, hesitate, call around. By the time they found out what is required, we already spent close to 90 minutes. If it is not due to flight delay, we left with very little time to clear the immigration, security screening and locate where the gate is."
