Ưu điểm: It was my 2nd stay at ampersand hotel during London design festival. I liked the place last year so I decided to stay again. Staffs are still kind, room was cozy and clean. Complementary snack, cookies and drinks in room was so satisfying. Comfy bed and bath room’s under floor heating system was just perfect during chilly season. Location is amazing too.

There were slippers and robes and the bathroom floor was heated. The daily tea was also very nice. I can't write enough to explain how exceptional the hotel, staff and location were. You will have to try it for yourself. Overall I plan to go back to London and stay here again.

Ưu điểm: I loved pretty much everything about the hotel. I stayed there twice in September. It was gorgeous inside, extremely well located near the South Kensington tube and nearby pubs and restaurants in Chelsea, the staff was simply wonderful and the rooms were pretty and very comfortable. Also loved the front room where you can grab a bite to eat and a glass of wine, and the breakfast room downstairs. The free water, juices and soft drinks provided in the bar fridge were a nice touch.

We booked a superior room at 325 euro night - unacceptably small for the price - the bed practically touched the wall. It really was uncomfortable. This alone will stop us from returning. 2 coffees and a water for breakfast - 13 euro. Not good value

Also loved the front room where you can grab a bite to eat and a glass of wine, and the breakfast room downstairs. The free water, juices and soft drinks provided in the bar fridge were a nice touch.
Khuyết điểm: The gym was very well appointed in terms of weights, towels and free water but the space was too small in my view, it needed to be at least double the size as only 2-3 people would comfortably fit. Equally, the smaller hotel rooms (where my sisters stayed) have limited space if you are staying for more than 2 nights, but the hotel reception kindly advised us of this beforehand.

Khuyết điểm: The rooms are not very sound proof we had extremely loud neighbors several nights. More of business hotel. There were not many things to help tourists book restaurants or get around. The staff didn't have guidance on hop on hop off buses or tours. We figured it out on our own but I think in other hotels there is more help for that type of thing.

Walking distance within few minutes you can find self-service laundry, 24 hours convenience store, restaurants and bars, and most importantly the Earl’s Court metro station that brings you to everywhere. The breakfast is good although not many varieties, it’s sufficient to me! Staff was friendly and helpful. It was a good stay!

But still a lovely breakfast just didn’t feel very welcome

Khuyết điểm: noise isolation is not the best, it's a good thing it's in a quiet location , but still work in the street ( garbage disposal or something ) in the street outside woke my wife up some days ( we were in the 4th floor) mattress was a bit too hard for our taste ( we didn't complain about any of these to the hotel staff ... it could be that they could have done something not sure)

Ưu điểm: Nice, boutique hotel on a quiet street close to the Hyde park and 10 min walk from the Paddington station. We were upgraded to a jr. suite at no charge and it was a very pleasant bonus. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The staff was welcoming a friendly.
Khuyết điểm: They have 2 breakfast options: continental or hot English. We had a continental included in the price. There is a special person that instructs each guest on which breakfast they are entitled to have and that the hot breakfast is extra. Not very classy... I have a feeling they spend more money doing that and creating a negative vibe, as opposed to letting everyone have some scrambled eggs (how much can they cost?) and a good impression of the hotel.

Ưu điểm: The Blakemore is an incredible hotel. It is extremely clean, beautiful in every way. Although the rooms and location were perfect- it's greatest asset is ira incredible staff- who were competent, polite, well-versed in their jobs, -and incredibly customer focused. It is a great hotel.

Khuyết điểm: We had the worst nights sleep we have ever had in a hotel. There is obviously a bar or club within the hotel and the music played at a ridiculous level until 2am! We were on the first floor and possibly directly above the club so the base of the music vibrates through our whole room!!!!

Khuyết điểm: Lifts far too slow to close doors and to get up to each floor Main restaurant menu far to fancy, none of my tea wanted to eat there, 90% of people there, chose drinks and not good. Menu was trying to be Michelin, when nice good food, without silly 'trying too hard' names and combinations would have worked. Staff in restaurant were slow. The exec happy hour canapes were poor and not nice. Drinks too 30mins to arrive, Canapes had to remind them 3 times. Air con machine making banging and clicking sounds, woke us both up at 5am. Not good, would not sleep in hotel again, unless these issues are fixed.

Khuyết điểm: Old building and the service was very poor. Our request for an early check in was not met and saw most of the guests loitering in the lobby until their rooms were ready. Had to wait for 4 1/2 hrs to get the room (till the normal check in time). Looks like they stick to their normal check in time irrespective of the availability of the rooms. Fire alarm went off at 5.30 am the following day and no one knew the reason for it. It was cold and raining outside and there were no umbrellas or a shelter to go out of the hotel. Staff were not properly trained for such a situation and they gave us different answers for the alarm to go off. Fire truck came with only two fire men and after about 40 mts allowed to go in. Alarm went off 3 times again the same day around 11.30pm and yet again the same routine. We were scared as hell for the rest of the 3 nights as we had no option left and were on the 4th floor and no escape if a fire breaks out. The breakfast was awful and no choice at all. From the second day onward we opted to go out to have breakfast. Its definitely not worth the money we paid.

Ưu điểm: The location is very convenient. Less than 5 minutes away from Gloucester Rd tube station with plenty of places to eat around the area
Khuyết điểm: The furniture was dated and old. The chair did not feel solid and everything in the room looked and felt like it was at least 15 years old and had not been updated. The bathroom (whilst a good size) had a musty smell to it, which added to the feeling that this place needed an upgrade. The TV had very few channels on it (Freeview has more variety) and i couldn't even find the basic channels like BBC, ITV etc. There was very little room for hanging clothes since half the width of the (door-less) handing space was take up by the ironing board. The AC was very strong and the fan speed at its lowest was high. Trying to turn the temperature up or down was useless, you just get the same cool temperature. Not worth the price at all!! There are hotels in the area less than 5 minutes walk at a lower cost and significantly better than this.

What I dislike is that the guests can remove all the silence in the whole coming in and out the hotel - as they may think this underground room cannot be with guest but a laundry or equipment room. -hope it is just because I picked the worst room 011. Nothing good except the bed- which must be available in all the rooms. And, we ordered the breakfast + dinner package for the two days while got a surprise day by day the canteen were reserved by some group from 18:00-21:00, and I was forced to take two late dinners around 21:30, without earlier warning. Too bad a service. It is a problem of management. It is my first score giving under 8, sadly.

Khuyết điểm: Checked in and was met with a queue and also no welcome just a response of do you have ID for the room. We only booked the standard rooms, four of them and they were pretty basic and cramped for a hotel hitting £150plus a night. Wouldn’t stay again. I’d probably use some of the other smaller hotels and save some money. Expectations were higher than what was realised with this hotel. Also got woken up at 7.30 with a maintenance person knocking on next door for what seemed like minutes with no discretion.

Khuyết điểm: The room was very small with no view, poor light, window with dificcult open and with translucid glass, dirty view to the back of the hotel with noisy machines; small toilet; the light enters from the borders of the entrance door; bad cleaning. It was very claustrophobic. There is a very contrast between the Hall of the hotel that seems very luxuous and the room. Unbelievable in actual times. Just went to the room to sleep every day, we stayed in the Hall the rest of time stayed in hotel. It was not possible to change room; listened other clients also contested some rooms, not know what or what exactly. Our room was 308. We felt discomfortable and thought even to pay and go to another hotel. The other rooms we don’t know how they lol like. Very bad price quality relation.

Ưu điểm: I really liked the night staff member - Lionel. I came in the middle of the night completely exhausted and his smile, his very warm approach has made me feel welcomed and safe. Honestly, I was a bit scared to stay in a hostel, especially because female dorm was not available at the time of the booking and the room is smaller than it is comfortable. He was polite, fun to talk to and helpful. I had genuine feeling he is a nice person to hang around. I was glad the locker inside of the room was big enough to store a small luggage and that in the bunk bed space you could find a plug, where to charge a phone. The long mirror in the room was also something I liked.

Khuyết điểm: The rooms are uncomfortably small with too many bunk beds. When I wanted to open my tiny luggage, someone would open the door and hit me or someone would come out of bathroom and had to go through me. It was terrible to go toilet inside of the room as you could hear everything from the bathroom cubicle. Also I felt the bed curtains are not being changed after the guests left. There was no space to hang a towel, which is pretty annoying. The room ventilation was awful, there is a fan, which is noisy and terribly small window that opens at the bottom, not at the top - which I do not think is terribly safe or helping to ventilate.

So many towels, the shower and bathroom was very modern! everything looked like it was very well looked after also - cleaners and house keeping obviously doing a very good job! The location is brilliant literally like a two minute walk from the tube to the hotel and so easy to get around! We personally didn’t use the bar or order any room service etc so unable to make comment. Shower was really good and powerful!

Ưu điểm: The bathroom and bedroom were presented lovely, very clean also. So many towels, the shower and bathroom was very modern! everything looked like it was very well looked after also - cleaners and house keeping obviously doing a very good job! The location is brilliant literally like a two minute walk from the tube to the hotel and so easy to get around! We personally didn’t use the bar or order any room service etc so unable to make comment. Shower was really good and powerful!
Khuyết điểm: The mattress was very ‘spring-y’ it wasn’t the greatest nights sleep, woke up with sore backs and hips. We were also in the basement although we did pay for a windowless room i’m not sure what we expected but it was still a lovely room. the constant noise you could hear also wasn’t the best throughout the night!

Khuyết điểm: The rooms were like death apartment in china crammed tiny with 4 people shoved in a closet the beds were kid size and im only 5'8, an to talk about the heat and mug build up in the rooms if you stay never turn off the fan. we left days early just to get away from the place, the bathrooms stink of mold in the floor and around the sinks , the shower room is almost as big as the room just with lament flooring as the bathroom floor not properly vented and stinks of mold, we were informed to put our bags in out beds with the cuts shut so they can come in and vacuum the floor and our stuff would be say (oyes to use the storage drawer under the bed its cost 4 extra to use it) when we came back the room stunk of my friends perfume she had just bought the other day and out bags look like they had be moved or tossed around my hard carrier on was push on top of my bookback which i lef the book bag on top bc of my laptop that was inside. after the 2nd night of staying there me and my friend agreed this place in my 11 years of seeing the world was the worst place i have ever stayed there is like 1 bathroom on each floor to be shared with 20 people it seems, i would have to hold it in to use the bathroom at 4 knowing everyone was asleep because it not you will have 2-5 people try to open the door while your in the middle of your business, there is no outside sign or even a slide panel to state that someone is in there on topping it off its a no refund if you leave early or don't stay which i was willing to leave early after the first few nights of staying there i wouldent want the money back anyway it would probley end up smelling like the bathrooms like mold, it didnt help ether i'm sure at most of the bathrooms are straight piped because you can smell straight sewer when it rains, for a place in Hyde Park as well keeped and clean area this place as well below that stander-ed.

Khuyết điểm: We booked a 4 bed mixed dorm, which meant we were on the fourth floor, with no lift which means you will need to carry your bags and travel up and down to the very top of the building in order to get to your room. With this room we had a private bathroom, however this meant practically showering on the toilet, the shower curtain did NOTHING and meant the whole bathroom got flooded whenever anyone had a shower, including a wet toilet. During our stay a bunch of teenagers who sit on the next door neighbours steps and who smoke weed and play their music all night long whilst approaching people staying at the hostel asking if they want to buy drugs. We had spoken to someone who had stayed at the hostel months before and he said that they were also there on his previous stay, so something that always happens. The hostel staff don’t seem to do anything about them and they are allowed to come in and out of the common foyer as they please. There are lockers under the beds however they will charge you per day to be able to use it.

Khuyết điểm: I have been to many countries especially in Asia and I have always stay on dormitories but I was shocked when I stayed here. Usually, when I arrived at a hostel, the bed is already ready, there is a pillow and mattress, everything..but this hostel is not ready at all. They will just give you the mattress and pillow cover, you will do it yourself. Its not a big deal for me but I am just comparing it to other hostels where I stayed. and you will have to look for an empty bed yourself. Almost zero on Customer Service. I knew from the pictures that its triple decker bed but I was shocked because of the space, Its like they tell you to just lie down most of the time. and what shocked me the most is that they have lots of staff cleaning the hostel but they don't include the rooms. They don't vacuum or have air spray to get rid of the smell from the shoes of other guests. Most of the reception also don't know customer service. They just sat there. In other hostels, After someone checks in, they will guide the guest to the room and inform where his or her bed is. The reception's job is just to sit, check their computer, give keys, give mattress. I hope they learn from Korean Guesthouses on how they do Guesthouse business. Being a low budget dormitory is not an excuse to not being able to give good customer service.

Ưu điểm: The hotel is located in a very nice neighborhood. It has close proximity to many tube stations, which makes getting around easy. Hyde park is really close by and is super beautiful. Back to the hotel, the staff is amazingly friendly. Several Spanish speakers (mostly from Spain) work here, so that is convenient if you need translation. The towels are good, the water pressure I exceptional. If you get the breakfast included take advantage of it, the breakfast is very hardy.

Ưu điểm: The location is easy walking distance from Paddington Train Station it was a very reasonable price for a London hotel the price also included full English breakfast. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful we arrived at the hotel early in the morning check in was at 2 pm we asked if we could leave our suitcases and check in later also when we checked out we again asked if we could leave our cases and pick up early evening this was agreed so we spent all day seeing London without the burden of suitcases and as we were going on the London Eye this was a great help as your bags are searched. The breakfast was help yourself buffet style which included the full English, croissant, fruit juice,coffee etc all hot nice way to start your day sightseeing.

Supposed to have a sauna and swimming pool - they were both closed for repair 3. No restaurant. When I arrived looking for an evening meal I was offered a leaflet promoting a local takeaway. 4. Aircon in room not working - had to make do with a portable fan and leaving the window open on a noisy street

Khuyết điểm: The property is in need of a little TLC the walls /carpets need painting/ replacing the hotel looks a little tired it is however very clean and bed linen, towels changed daily I cannot offer criticism on the cleanliness of the hotel just that it needs upgrading. I would stay again when in London but I would make further research on other hotels in the area to compare price and facilities.

Khuyết điểm: The staff in the reception are horrible! The Italian ones specially speaking.. how rude can some people be? Both Italian ladies in the reception would speak in italian language to each other and laugh at my face just because I didn't feel comfortable staying at a mixed room and wanted a female room. Very unprofessional. What a disgrace for the hostel these women are. Have the decency to speak about guests behind their back not infront of their faces!!!

Walls were pealing and dirty, floors were not clean, the bathroom facilities were cramped and gross, beds were horribly quality with springs poking you, and the staff was not service oriented or very friendly. Very disappointed in this location. After talking with some people in London we came to find out that our experience is not normal with hostels, most of the time they are better kept. This was pretty bad. Don’t trust the pictures you see in their ads, they aren’t what you will get.

Had to spend a lot of time at cafes, because the room did not have an electrical socket for me to charge my phone. Only ventillation in the room was from an open window, exposing you to all kinds of traffic noise throughout the night.

Khuyết điểm: Nothing like what i expected or lead to believe from images of the hostel, it was unclean, smelt bad and the staff were less than helpful. Location is great but the actual rooms and facilities leave a lot to be desired, it did the job for a night but I wouldn't recommend. Breakfast is literally just cornflakes, they have hot drinks machine but there were no teabags, staff were lazy and barely even looked at guests. There was no storage or option to lock away bags in the room and mattress was very hard.

Ưu điểm: Room was dirty, blood on sheets, no hair dryer like advertised and when asked, given a small one covered in sellotape to hold it together. Hotel was under construction but you only new that when you turn up. Very dirty, and we paid for breakfast, it was in a basement with no windows and two baskets, one with bread and croissant, butter. Cheap cornflakes and coffee erne that was nasty.

Ưu điểm: Presently having a lot of building work but very quiet at at night, stated on 5th floor and rooms were all modernised and very clean, smart decor and fresh. Would stay again good value for money and location excellent.

Khuyết điểm: Unclean, old, getting done up so unclean and equipment everywhere. Man on reception laughed when I said my name. Front door was all smashed, which was a heath and safety hazard. Would not stay here again!!

Khuyết điểm: Not at all as described - no TV, duvet, 2 single beds at opposite ends of the room when I booked a double, no number on my door, wires exposed in room, mirror not hung yet, construction work going on when I stayed which was not at all made clear.
